  1. Stella, I tried something different today based on the suggestions I received. I heated the jars, then wicked and poured. I actually liked it better. I was warming the jars with the wicks at 170 degrees and the wax on the wicks was melting. Thanks, Jeanne
  2. Hello. I have metal votive and tart molds, and wick pins and was wondering if there is an easy way to clean them? I put them upside down on a cookie sheet on paper towels, then wipe them out and then wash and dry them. Also, what else can be used that is disposable that doesn't cost alot? Thanks, Jeanne
  3. Thank you for the ideas and suggestions. Jeanne
  4. Hello. I am warming the jars before pouring. If I wick after warming them, won't they cool down again? And you did make sense to me anyway. Thanks, Jeanne
  5. Hello. I am trying to find the best way to warm jars. I put them in the oven on the lowest temp but the wicks melt alittle. Is there another solution for that or is that what should happen. I put the wick bars on after I take them out. Thanks, Jeanne
  6. Thanks again Stella. I knew you would reply to this one when I posted it. You have so much knowledge. Thank you for sharing. Jeanne
  7. Does anyone know what the shelf life if for soy candles?
  8. I tried the cb 135 before the advanced and I didn't like the appearance. I think I might try the coconut oil and see if it helps. Thanks
  9. Ok. I'm thinking of trying the 464 wax in place of the eco advanced. Can you give me your feedback if you use this one "please". Thanks, Jeanne
  10. I have alot of this wax, is there anything I can do to make it throw better. Does the coconut really help? Can I melt these down and add coconut or should I try mixing this wax with another? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Jeanne
  11. Hello. I'm using ecosoya advanced and I love the wax. Problem is that it smells great when heating and also smells great when cold but when I burn the candles it doesn't give off as much scent as I would like. I am using 1.5 oz of fragrance per pound and I mix the dye chip and fragrance at 185 and then pour at 125 in heated jars. If anyone knows what to do to help this please let me know. Thanks, Jeanne
  12. Hi. No that aren't in a cool place and none of my other oils did this. I think it will be alright. Thanks again
  13. Hello. Have any of you had a fragrance that had flakes in the bottle after opening it? I was pouring amazing apple pie and noticed flakes near the bottom of the bottle after it was opened. This happened with all 3 bottles I had. It seemed alright in the wax and mixed well. Do you know if this is a problem? Or is it normal? Thanks, Jeanne
  14. Sounds like you could make some money here Stella Let us know and thanks again for your help. Jeanne
  15. Well, if you ever decide to run an online course, let me know . Thanks again, Jeanne
  16. Wow. That was alot of info and I thank you for that. I have done months of testing and went crazy with that also. The wicks were really touch. The only reason I was doing 24 lbs was because I have 5 different containers and I was doing 12 of each container for each scent. I will slow it down and stay away from the dark colors. Stella, I wish you lived by me, I'd pay you to teach me all of your insite. Thank you again. Jeanne
  17. I might just do that. I have a question. Is it normal when you pour the wax to see tiny bubbles as you're pouring? If not, what do I do to stop it? Could that be part of the problem? Thanks again
  18. Well, I did it but I don't think it was worth the time and effort. I did learn the hard way not to cut the wicks until I'm sure they are good also. They still have some wet spots and also the tops are frosting alot. I think it's the brown dye. I think I will try to keep the colors on the light side sine the dark dyes seem harder? Does that make sense? I am trying to build up an inventory so I can start selling but it takes a long time and ALOT of patience (ha ha). Thank you all for you knowledge and support. I'm learning alot from all of you. Jeanne
  19. To late. They are in the oven. Wish me luck. I'll let you know how they come out. Thank you
  20. Thank you. I am giong to have to melt them all down because I poured 24 lbs of that and it is not looking good at all. My problem is that I already cut the wicks. Any tips on how to remelt the wax and hold up the wicks since the wick holders don't work this short? Thanks for any help you have on this. Jeanne
  21. Help. I poured 8 oz. apothocary jars today and the middle seems to be caving in. What can cause this. I used ecosoya advanced and I have never had this happen before. I just heated them with the glue gun and I'm hoping this helps. Thanks, Jeanne
  22. Hello again. How long do you usually wait to put the lids on your candles after pouring? Thanks, Jeanne
