  1. Those stalls that you are speaking of is what we call Kiosks - which this mall charges even more for!! ~*Sarah*~
  2. While I was sleeping I thought hey- I bet you can buy lets say GB 415 soy wax and add your own additives and also make Pillar wax without having to buy 2 types of wax... I attempted to look this theroy up in the forums but couldn't find a quick answer per say sooo.. has anyone tried this? I did find a website online of somone who claimed to have a similar thought and sucseeded by adding a certain amount of Vybar to 100% Soy wax, I am interested in hearing other peoples experience if any ~*Sarah*~ Okay so I went on to read a bit further back and have read that a lot of people do not like to use Vybar with soy because it locks in the scent... still interested if anyone has had luck turning container wax into pillar wax
  3. *Contains herself from Laughing as she takes a big chug of Iced tea* Everyone here is so amusing
  4. I like Peach Pit "Want to get your Pits squeaky clean?"
  5. well depending on the men you plan on giving or selling it too - there is an interesting heritage around the cedar trees that I found wikiing it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cedars_of_God You could brain storm with that. other than that- hmmm cedar cleanse or craftsmans cleanser woodn't be peachy? peadar I think i'm being a tad silly now ~*Sarah*~
  6. I have to agree with this - its very subtle though - I just went and sniffed one of my candles and its defiently apple- Like a fresh bitten into macintosh apple...but I remember thinking the bubble gum thing- maybe when I melt the tarts? ~*Sarah*~
  7. Just thought that I would update this thread as I contacted him by email today and Larry no longer provides candle insurance Though the Craft Council still does ~*Sarah*~
  8. I am sure the soap softens as you use it -so it won't gouge you personally I would have a hard time using it because its so pretty- I'd want to just put it up on a shelf and stare at it for a while- and maybe sniff it ~*Sarah*~
  9. I have the one from natures garden and everyone Loves it! hth ~*Sarah*~
  10. Those are some good ideas for clean up solutions. I like the wax drippings myself - its almost like seasoning a wooden spoon or the such - and when the wax gets to be too much I like to just dig it off while waiting for somthing - though with this presto pot I think waiting will be somthing of the past ~*Sarah*~
  11. That is crazy that a kiosk is more - heres an idea for that space though im sure its against the mall policy 1400 square feet store- rent your own Kiosks - actually I wonder if you don't put it that way and did mingle with some other people who make some goodies and divided up the space if that would work - and you could split the overhead costs .... ~*Sarah*~
  12. There is also http://www.craftcouncil.org/ they offer insurance too- and it seems as though someone quoted them for 350.00 minus membership ($50.00) but im not sure how old the thread is..they also said that you don't have to become a member of craftcouncil but they do have their perks... I have never been a customer of any of these companies but - I believe in my research IBN and HSMG go through the same company??? So the only difference may be the perks ~*Sarah*~
  13. Ditto on the Wow!!! Those are some amazing soaps
  14. Callie, It's like you knew what we could not find- the drill bits everywheres (including my dads stash) ends at 1/2" and forget about the tap Thanks for the info though - not sure where the closest ACE hardware store is here but that has got me thinking NewOrleansLady, I did check out Taylored concepts from another thread here on presto pots - they are about the same price as the ones on Ebay and I agree it might just be easier to go that route- I was thinking if I made a couple it would be cheaper to make them ourselves but - im not a 100% positive. At any rate I am a couple of batches of candles away from using all the jars I have in stock - and so far the presto pot without the spigot is working just fine ~*Sarah*~
  15. I am in LOVE with it- I was amazed how truly quick it melted the wax... and it wasn't messy when pouring into the pour pot *yes!* Thanks for all the feedback from today - My new candle room set up is more fantastic then my kitchen was and its all because of the Presto Pot ~*Sarah*~
  16. If you are going to make the products to order - I would consider doing more of a Kiosk instead of a 1400 sq. foot space. It would be cheaper, you would get the people who were just walking by and you would have a better idea for next year what you would need and how much you sell. hth ~*Sarah*~
  17. Sweet- well I appreciate the feedback I am going to move all my stuff out of the kitchen and into my current sewing room - It's going to be so nice not having to keep cats and dogs from jumping up onto my cooling jars and the such ~*Sarah*~
  18. Okay that was another option I just thought it would be quite messy ~*Sarah*~
  19. So I found a few directions on how to make the presto pots with the spigots and DH and I went to Lowes and to our local hardware stores on search for the items needed. We had luck finding certain pieces but there wasn't everything we needed. The gentleman at Lowe's gave us items that he thought would work closest to what was being said on the directions but im still a bit skeptical of it.... So I was going to get a presto pot at Wal-Mart - so DH can stop getting mad about the wax all over the stove - but instead of putting the spigot in that one right off I was going to use it to heat up the water and double boil the the Pouring pots - Would this work? Has anyone tried it? I'm going to use our old Presto Pot to attempt to fix it with the items I got at Lowes and see how it comes out - but I think we are still missing some essential tools Thanks in Advance ~*Sarah*~
  20. They all came out really nice! I love that the pattern make its playful yet dressy all at the same time ~*Sarah*~
  21. I <3 NG's Hot Toddy! They sent me an aroma bud with that fragrance on it and I cannot get enough of it - It's defiently going to be in my next order with them (which I am filling out as we speak) ~*Sarah*~
  22. The scoopables I have found are from Diamond Creek http://www.theboutiqueshoponline.com/vmchk/Scoopable-Tarts.html they only show a picture of the container and not the actual product. hth ~*sarah*~
  23. I realize this is an old thread but thought I would submit an answer in case anyone in the future does a search Aztec International http://www.candlemaking.com carries this scent. Not sure if it will be the same as the one in question but it has he same name Now meanwhile has anyone tried this scent? I am looking to make an order through Aztec and want to try to consolidate shipping costs by buying everything through them - is it peachy? We have a customer who is in LOOOOVEE with peach scents ~*Sarah*~
