  1. I have the original set, the original long loom and got the newer long loom set for my birthday last Oct. I haven't knitted in about 2 years. Have been thinking the last couple months I need to do that! I have a friend who knits 50+ infant caps for charity every year.

  2. In 2004 I sold my candle business complete with supplies. I was having medical problems and it was too much physically for me. I had wholesale accounts that I didn't want to have to wait long for orders (gave them 6 months notice to find another source). When I felt better I tried a couple direct sales companies so I didn't have to stock a lot of stuff or think too much...LOL! Both went out of business for different reasons; but when I thought about it I decided that I really hated working for party plans! More medical problems (darn Lupus) in fall of 2008. I am on dialysis now. I searched for months to find something to fill the void with. Kept coming back to candles. Decided I would just go with what I know and love. Just at a slower pace. I am currently kicking myself for not saving my equipment, gadgets, etc. :( I am having to buy it all again. If I were you, I would sell all the supplies. Keep some of it around...ya never know.

    btw...votive molds and wick pins...ooohhhh!

  3. The green I can't change...it's a template (free). Shopping cart will come eventually.

I tried the white lettering first and it looked funny to me. I'll have to try it again...new day...new perspective. LOL!

I know my lip balm is cheap. I am going to increase it to $2.50; but any more and I will have trouble selling here.

  4. In my old business I never supplied candles to my wholesale accounts for them to burn in the store. I provided votives of a few scents to test if they liked my candles for acquiring the account. I always gave melts of new fragrances to accounts when I added them.

My new business I am thinking of popping in a sample of some sorts with every order. Of course, gotta get wholesale accounts again...LOL!

Also I don't think anyone was suggesting to their accounts to burn a candle. The accounts requested a candle to burn. All you can do is warn them and run over safety issues with them; but they will ultimately do what they wish...and then the only alternative is to not sell to them and after that...find another line of work.

  5. My site is "NaturallyTru". www.naturallytru.shophandmade.com Right now I am clearancing out my bath & body stuff. Just doesn't sell well for me and it's not my favorite thing to mess with anyway. I prefer messing with my soy candles. I have melts and warmer sets on the site only so far. I used to sell candles from 2000 - 2004; but had to stop due to Lupus. Am trying to get back into it; but money is so much tighter than it was then for me. Just got wicks in so I can test the jar style I selected. Little at a time...I'll get there.

  6. Wow...I've never heard of consignment that wasn't just a percentage. It seems kinda ballsy to me that they did this. Thanks for posting this. I, now, can be aware that others may perceive consignment differently.

I hope you can get this straightened out and keep your accounts.

  7. I don't focus on the country scents (and containers) here that all the other candle makers here use. I do have some country scents to round our my offerings; but I try to fill the niche that no one else is filling. Works for me. Even has gotten wholesale accounts in gift shops. I notice sophisticated names intrigue people and they just have to grab to smell. They usually love them and buy them. This is just my experience in my area.

  8. not much scent, I smelled a tiny bit of scent but that's only if I stuck my nose right on top of the warmer.

    I am so bummed..

Why? You just summed up why you don't have to worry. Your customers will know the difference. If they don't...do you really want those customers?
