I love the name..after all, snowmen are made out of balls!! It does get one's attention though doesn't it?

Oh and Indiana Candle Supplies has a Pumpkin Brulee that is skin safe but again no % available.
-
Southern Soapers I believe has a Pumpkin Brulee that is skin safe, however, they do not list % safe amount. They just say skin safe.

There was some about adding Liquid Crothix to gels that have been thinned. Never tried it but know those who have had great success with it.

Check out Essentials by Catalina...they may have what you are looking for. I use their Suspension Shower Gel and so far none of the fo's I use thins it out. I don't know about the paraben free one. Might give them a call & see.

Received an email from Melissa at Aroma Haven this morning regarding my question. This was her reply:
If there is a limit on our oils, it will be in the description of the oil. We recommend you follow the guidlelines for fragrance use provided for the base you are using. Hope this helps.

Does this make sense? I'm still confused. I made m&p soap last week with their Oak Barrel Cider which contains cinnamon and I know that it can be irritating to private areas and should be used at a lower rate than I would normally use.
Can someone please shed some light on this for me? Thanks

Thanks...I was afraid that was the only way. I emailed AH/RE yesterday.

If a company indicates their fo's are body safe but offer no indication of percentages as to how much is safe to use...how do you deterime it? Is there a rule of thumb? Hate to email the supplier asking everytime I want to use one of their fo's.
Thanks

I agree with the other two...but I recently combined a Honeysuckle fo & and Rose fo and it came out fantastic. Really toned down the powdery smell of my rose fo. But, I did determine the Rose was not to my liking alone after putting it into a product. You really can't judge OOB.

I just put this in sugar scrubs and I'm not smelling any of the typical notes you would think of if something had the name "gingerbread" in it..no real spicy notes...more bakery buttery. I'm also planning to use this in soap so I want the name to sound right for both products. OOB it did seem to have a bit of spice but not now in the products.
Any suggestions??? Can even eliminate the word gingerbread. I'm just drawing a blank.
Thanks

What about a berry scent..one that's not a sweet bakery type? AH/RE has a wild berry fo that I've been wanting to try.

My Pumpkin Cream Brulee is a very darkish black oil. For candles/tarts the oil color didn't seem to affect it. I colored them brown but if you wanted to use it in soap (I only do m&p) or other b&b products then the color would make a difference. Wonder why the drastic color differences? Definitely different batches. I looked at my bottle from last season & it's darkish black also so perhaps those of us who got the dark color is from last season. Still smells fab though.

Thanks for all the suggestions...I was playing around with colors and was finally able to achieve the pumpkin color by using liquid yellow oxide and liquid red oxide. Glad not to have to buy something for a change.

Tea scents maybe. I use White Tea & Ginger from NG, White Tea from NG. They also have a very good straight Ginger fo that you could add to other fo's. I also love Bamboo Sugar Cane from AH.
That's all I can think of right now...my brain's not fully awake yet.

Southern Soapers has a Sweet Roasted Chestnuts..sounds interesting but have not tried it. I also agree with Caramelized Pralines from AH..great scent and Pecan Pie from Candlescience. Two of my favs.

Been looking around for a good one that would be perfect for all the fall fo's....anyone have any suggestions for a non-bleeding pumpkin-ish dye? I perfer liquids but micas are ok. Saw an orange liquid pigment at southern soapers but not sure if it'll be that brownish-orange shade. I've tried mixing my orange & a drop of brown but for some reason my brown over took the orange...not a pretty sight. Or maybe a suggestions for just a good orange.
Thanks

The Scent Works has them in 8 & 16 oz. but they are clear ones. If you can't find the others maybe these would work

I have to resist...need to order fall/holiday scents, containers, butters, oils, etc. The 'ol mighty $$ isn't stretching as far as it use to. Some one get me the smelling salts...I can't believe I just said that !

I usually get a newsletter when they add new things..wonder why they didn't announce. Maybe a sale is coming...I don't know...that would be nice.

You'll need to add the Vanilla Stabilizer if you don't want brown soap. Made some several months ago and no color change.
-
I like the .75 oz. twist up tubes from Elements

I don't know for sure but would like to. Maybe someone will chime in who knows.

I'd hate to calculate what I've spent on trying out new formulas and new products!! Some worked the first or second try and others never did. Some products I've tried thinking they would be a good match for my business and eventually decided they wouldn't. It's all part of the game..finding what and where your niche is but eventually you'll figure it out. Have fun and don't take it so serious. Even the products I decided weren't up to snuff to sell, I still enjoyed using them so all was not completely wasted. My family & friends always get my cast-offs. Even when I do soaps and the colors or designs are not to my liking but the soap is still great, I donate to the homeless shelter/battered women's group and they enjoy the benefits of my boo-boos. I then don't consider it a total loss.

My stuff will be here tomorrow...love being close by at least for next day delivery. Wasn't sure with the sale and all.
Can't imagine 377 1 oz. bottles being delivered!! Wonder if it's for them or perhaps a resale/ebay type thing..who knows...anyway can't wait to sniff the new ones!
ISO these FO's
