  1. Hi, My beeswax candles have been set free from their metal mold and hope to shine upon a diner table. Thanks for you help...
  2. Scentsational! Good thinking with the drill, looks interesting. It would have taken me a long time to figure out how you created that effect.
  3. I have a traditional 6in metal taper mold. I have sprayed it with silicone. My beeswax tapers are getting stuck in the mold. The only way I can get them out is to warm the mold in the oven. Does anyone have a better candle release method for beeswax in metal molds?
  4. When I pour tapers and I get holes near the wick, I heat more wax to 200 and fill in the holes. The hot wax adheres to the cooled candles.
  5. The information is great on molds and supplies. I'm looking forward to using silicone.
  6. Nice color combination of orange, lime, and lemon. Good job, I'd like to make a similar candle with dry fruit around the edge.
  7. Thanks, I started with the beeswax sheets at my last show. This show is in June and I wanted to try something a little more unusual so I decided to try to make my own wax sheets. I've been searching around to see if any one has ever made their own wax sheets.
  8. I started out with beeswax sheets but decided to try to make my own wax sheets using paraffin/beeswax mix . I dip a board soaked in water into liquid wax. I've just started to experiment with it. I've also used a #2 wick but I always soak my wick in beeswax.
  9. I do my business at a museum. I allow people to make candles. I have all the supplies set up for them. Has anyone made rolled candles by dipping a water soaked board into melted wax? :tiptoe:
