  1. REALLY need some help on this one. I have a possible client who owns a pizza shop and she wants to do some advertising with candles. I ordered a pizza FO from Taylored Concepts and it made me gag! Maybe once it is into a wax it won't be as bad but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to pour with it! I guess I'd say it smells like rotten cheese. Not good. I also ordered a basil and herb from Candle Science. I really need to have a few different options so I need some thoughts. What else could I use?
  2. That looks really cool. It says they send out a lot of boxes each month. I guess I would do samples in lieu of some online advertising for a month or two. I'm always looking for a different way to advertise! Thanks for posting that link!
  3. I used pumpkin spice and lavender from Peak. It's not really my fragrance but I'm happy with the overall appearance and way the scent turned out. My husband came home and actually liked this one so maybe there really is something to the rumors
  4. I guess when I started doing "custom" candles I really opened myself up to some crazy ideas!!
  5. Alright. I made the candles. They smell like cleaning solution to me, but there is definitely pumpkin spice and lavender in there. Two part pumpkin spice, one part lavender was the magic combination that smells okay.
  6. Wow...that is hilarious. Sorry for the double post then!! :rolleyes2 I guess I'm going to try the 50/50 option then and see what comes of it. I sure hadn't heard of that combination before!
  7. That is so cute. Do you have anywhere online where you sell these? They'd do fantastic on Etsy.
  8. I have a customer who has requested an odd combination (I think) and I wanted to get some feedback on here from others. She has chosen an orange candle scented with a combination of lavender and pumpkin spice scents. At first I thought she wanted the scents layered but I finally found out that she wants the two scents mixed together through the whole candle. Has anyone used this combination of scents before? I'm thinking this could smell terrible. If you have, did you use a specific measurement of each? Thanks!
  9. Thanks for the input :smiley2: I think I'm just going to skip the whole airport thing and still pick up the dyes but have my mom priority ship them to our house. It'll still be cheaper then paying for shipping.
  10. Has anyone ever taken candle dye chips through airport security? I would really like to save on some shipping while I'm in Denver next week but my husband is just sure that TSA agents will flip out over several packages of dye chips. I honestly don't know why they would, but I figured I'd ask.
