I just got my order! Got some wax, wicks, 4 oz jj, and some new jars to try, the ones on their straight sided jars selection.....has anyone tried those? Oh and lots of new smells to try! I have been trying to put together from my first order from AH/RE for a long time, I keep putting off placing my order, lol because I really don't need another FO supplier...haha but I really want to!! Anyways, I love bakery/ food scents but am open to all suggestions. Not sure how to choose some that they have 3 of the same scent different companies like I want a good birthday cake, and they have 2 or 3. I Also want a good buttercream, how is the toasted marshmallow, and the kettle corn, is it like buttered popcorn? Any input is greatly appreciated! Oh and I use 4630 with zinc wicks if that helps

It still hasn't reached a full melt pool after 2 burns, but I kinda expected that...I am going to try do 2 or 3 more burns tomorrow and then I will have a better idea for u. My thing is some sites say a 44-36 zinc or something is the next size up....I order some more today and will have to test, I really want to use this jar just didn't think it would be such a pain for me, lol. I am afraid that if I go much bigger the top half of the candle will burn to hot? Thanks for your help so far, I will let u know how it is going with the love spell tomorrow.

Hi all, I usually use zinc wicks in my candles, it is what I started with and for the most part they work well for me. I use 4630 wax and I trying a new jar, the DT status type jar I have tried the 51 z and one other, but can't recall which it was at the moment and I don't have my notes with me.....anywys, the first I tried tunneled pretty bad which is why I moved up to the 51 and it did ok for the first half of the candle but the last half or 1/3 of the candle it tunneled a little and isn't cleaning up the wax off the sides of the jar. At suggestions on others to try test, zincs or any other kind, I would appreciate any help. I never use more than 1 oz pp and this is FO that works beautifully in my 4 oz just with a 44-24 zinc wick. I am looking for good scents in M&P soaps.....I do candles too, but am branching out. I am putting in an order at AH/RE, Brambleberry, and possibly Peaks and Elements. I have been reading a lot and I have thought of getting into soaping starting with m&p. Has anyone used any of the bases from AH/RE? They are closest to me ( I think) but there are just so many choices of suppliers and bases, I would just like a bit of input of AH/RE if anyone has used them Tia!

This order was my first order from NG. I do love the pumpkin crunch cake and it throws well, but so far the other three I mentioned have not. I think I have 6 more to get in wax. I don't believe it is my wax batch as candles made with peaks oils and some from CS have been very strong scents for me. Hopefully out of these other samples I have left I will find a few more good ones

I too am interested in must haves from AH/RE. The shipping is an awesome price for me and I don't think they are too far from my sister in law. Maybe I can ask her to pick up some for me to save on shipping. The only downside is FO's are the only thing I would be getting as they don't carry my wax. Do their FOs throw good in 4630? Is it worth it to add another supplier? Thanks

Ok, I am very glad to know it wasn't something in my formulation that I was doing wrong, or that I don't need to change it to get NG's oils to work. I still have 5 or 6 samples from them to try, but if non of them are good I won't be ordering any more from there. Thanks for the replies

I do like the pumpkin crunch cake but to me there isn't much pumpkin in it. I am not great at describing, lol. I love it and I think it's an awesome scent that throws really well more of a cake with a hint of pumpkin and spice, to me anyways, hth. Let me know how the others do for you when u get them in wax, please. I may have to throw mine I have left into tarts if it seems to work better for people in that.

I admit I have been away from my candle making for a while, but I have gotten back into them. I have tested 4 fo's from NG, Pumpkin Crunch Cake, Monkey Farts, Satsuma, and Vanilla Lavender type. Pumpkin Crunch Cake has been the only one that has thrown awesome for me. Satsuma in light, Monkey Farts is almost non-existant and Vanilla Lavender is light to medium. I have never had this many "misses" with CS and Peaks FOs. I know all fos are hit and miss but was just wondering if anyone else has this much trouble using NG's oils in 4630 wax Thanks for any help
