  1. I wonder if that's what her customer is requesting, an advent candle? I know that there is one that is used in church, to countdown the church year too. That's why there's three wicks to it. It's a big, fat pillar with three wicks and numbers on it. I was trying to search for that one too, but I couldn't find it.

SatinDucky, you found a much better example then mine. I tried to find an Advent countdown but all I kept coming up with is the wreaths and tapers.

Aria007, you are exactly right. The one she mentioned was the church one that had three wicks and counted down.

Thanks for everyone's help. You guys are awesome!

  2. We have been so busy trying to fill our orders and stock the store. Once we think we are getting caught up we get another order that puts us backI work a regular full time job come home and start making candles and b&b and work until about 1am every night. I cant wait for the holidays to be over. My biggest competitor went out of business and now we are starting to get their business which we thought would be gradual and they bombarded us.

  3. Yes, at the last two shows I did there was a chandler there that was selling B&B products that had the scent and no other information! No ingrediants, no contact info or anything. There wasn't even an amout of the conent of the bottle on the label. Just the scent and the price. She was also maketing a soy lotion candle as well but she wasn't warming or lighting those.

I didn't ask her any questions because she knew who I was! I was selling candles like crazy and all so could do was sit back and watch! She did come over and ask why I didn't have soy lotion candles. I explained that they were DANGEROUS and a law suit waiting to happen!:grin2: She quickly left my tables and didn't return!:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

    Fire

No offense, but have you ever heard of anyone getting hurt from these. If they are done and labeled correctly then you should have a problem. Of the several hundreds I have sold I have never once heard of anyone getting hurt. So when you say dangerous are you saying thatin general as a regular candle can be dangerous as well. It just makes me wonder all these people bashing this probably have never once tried it

  4. There is a younf lady that I know that teaches classes in Point Richmond. Really nice area, so dont confuse it with Richmond, Very different. Her name is Lori and the place is called The Nova Studio. her web site is www.thenovastudio.com She isnt teaching the hydrosols but she teaches quite a few of the classes. If you want to learn basics as a starting point she is great. That is where I learned a few things and then went back and expanded on what I learned. I probably have taken 6 or 7 classes from her and am looking to take a few more on the bath and body section. If you go tell her I sent you. :D
