I just need a good plain paraffin. I am making novelty candles for a customer and it doesnt have to be anything extrodinary. Just have a good hot/cold throw. Any suggestions?

I use 1% with BCN base. I also use the liquid b&b colors.

I have a bubble bath base and when I add color and fragrance, afetr a bit it looks like it seperats and looks like floaing clouds. Is it the fragrance oil? I dont want people to always need to shake the item before use.

what about a sawdust smell. I know that quite a few stables use that in the stalls. We use to use it in our corrals quite a bit.

I had a lady that owns a candle store and asked for a sample. I sent her one along with wholesale pricing information. She sends an email saying that she likes the candles and that she was going to place an order. I didnt hear from here. She then calls on Monday of this week and places an order. But not the same line of the sample I sent her. I spoke to her and said that I needed to have the wholesale sheet filled out with her signature on it. She said that she would get it to me and asked if she could pay by COD. I said that we would rather have a check mailed to us. I also told her that all candles are made to order. So I filled her order and in the meantime waiting for her wholesale sheet. I called her yesterday and asked her about it and she said that she wanted the candles by this Fri. and to cancel the order. The order was ready to ship out yesterday and is only two day shipping in CA. So she would have had it by Fri. What do you think I should do? The wholesale order was for a couple hundred. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

I am using a bubble bath base from SFIC and I have poured several scents with fd&c color and every single one seperates. It looks like clouds in the bottle where the color seperates and sinks to the bottom. Does anyone know why this is happening? With two of their products I have had terrible luck. Can anyone help?

I thought you could use either container or pillar wax for tealights. Is this not correct?

which one has a more salty smell. BCN's "Tidal Wave" or Peaks "Ocean"? I dont want one that has a floral smell to it.

I need to find a good ocean scent. I have tried several samples but not sure which one I like the best. Also has anyone tried Vanilla Nutmeg?

The best one that I have found is Evergreen by French Color. I sold out of it last year. Everyone said that they liked it cause it did not smell like cleaner. BCN carries it. I ordered it straight from French though

does the shrink wrap tend to suck out some of the dye? I had a few candles that when you pulled the shrink wrap off it had some dye on it and it even changed the color of the label. Is this typical of shrink wrap? Or did I get the wrong kind a shrink wrap?

I thought I had seen at one point a form that you would give to people that you would have test your canldes. Does anyone remember seen anything like that? It has the information for their comments and burn time and etc. any help would be appreciated.

If I am thinking of the right ones they are made by Libby. I think MArck and Assoc are distributors ffor them. Also Taylored Concepts carries them. The jar store also has them and shipping was pretty good to me here in Calif.

I thought you are supposed to add UV to all wax. I used to use M38 and my candles would fade or change colors. Am I wrong on this?

What UV inhib do you use for this wax. I know some you are not supposed to use as it will decrease the mottle. I think.

Does anyone use pigments for other then CP soap? Can it be used for B&B base products? Does it seperate? Any help would be appreciated
