What I've done to make myself feel better when I buy from them is to only purchase a single item at a time. Then they HAVE to spend that extra $$ on shipping my ONE item. I'm so bad.....

Tapping it on the counter will help burp the bubbles out, I pour very slowly when doing a 3-d mold.

Has anyone used this as sort of a multi-purpose base? I'm looking at the ingredients for this and for lip balms and they seem similar. So can I use this to make bars and balms?

You could do that, I would test it as a lip balm first and see how you like it.

That is such a beautiful soap.

I turn my crock on high and add the oils and butters, when they have melted I add the lye water, I stir the mix with a spatula off and on for about 20 minutes and zap test, it is usually done at this point, makes for a nice smooth HP. This is done with a 3 pound batch.

We can all use a reminder not to be complacent with lye..I hope your arm heals quickly.
