  2. Don't use a metal bowl. You have to use glass or plastic. A chemical reaction occurred with the metal.
  3. You don't need preservatives with just carrier oils and essential oils. EOs have preservative qualities anyway.
  4. :rolleyes2 It's really nice stuff~! Yoohoo, Heather . . . where ARE you?
  5. Heather -- I kept thinking Darlene -- thanks! Is she still around?
  6. Back in May, Kimberly hosted a swap. I should know this, but I can't recall. Who makes the Black Swamp Toe Jam?????? Slowburn?
  7. Yes, Lynn and Coconutgurl use the same supplier. Lynn is in MN and Coconutgurl is in TX, if that helps.
  8. http://www.aromaweb.com/essentialoils/carrieroils.asp The above link gives some good info on oil properties. SAO is probably not the best oil to mix with shea, which is greasy anyway. You might try shea butter and sunflower oil, 90/10.
  9. Coconutgurl on The Whisk sells it and she has the certificate of origin that she provides with each purchase. I believe she sells it for $13-$15 for 16 oz.
  10. Another thing to keep in mind is that no product should be kept beyond 6 months. I think we've all gotten accustomed to things lasting for years and that's not healthy for our bodies.
