  1. Yeah.. the discount went from 10% to 1%. Which pretty much takes away their competitive advantage over Lonestar for me. i'm the same distance from either. The only thing I would continue to need from JBN is the wax and a couple of FO's (which have also gone up in price).

    Bleh!

  2. I've been using JBN as a supplier for a while now. Got my glassware from them... my waxes, many of my FO's... but now...

They've eliminated the discounts for large orders. I used to get a 10 percent discount on any order over $250.

They've eliminated EACH AND EVERY jar that I use.... both for my wickless and wicked candles. The only jar I didn't get from them was my 16oz Keepsake jar. The 7.5 Crissa's.. the Tureens.... gone.

Now I get to scramble to find these things elsewhere... and hope that I can get a good price.

  3. Yes, if a DMCA complaint is filed, a person can be suspended pending investigation. Where the person making the allegation screwed up at in my case was shutting me down. See, my site was not live... which would make a copyright claim null and void as my site had NEVER been live. According to my attorney, you cannot make a claim of copyright violation if there is nothing to claim ON. That was why I kept my site from going live. I was holding off so that I wouldn't end up suspended and end up not having access to my files THAT I PAID FOR FROM MY WEB DESIGNER. This individual making a claim on my site may end up costing.....

  4. Got flagged today.... that was quick. Can't get into my email.. can't get into my admin panel. Was about 1/2 done building my site and its..... gone.

The person who is behind this better hope that they can prove their accusations or they will find that I am hell on wheels when you screw with my hard work. Given the track record of the person in question though... I'm doubting they can.

  5. At the time that this whole drama llama was born, my site was still being built and was not live. I never got the email that so many people got. I believe she has gone thru and reported sites one by one, as Adam's is also still up.

My site is not fully complete yet at this point either... and not advertised at ALL. I'm keeping it low key while this whole thing drags on. I told Adam that I'd stick with him until he either throws in the towel and moves on, or I get pulled for more than 2 weeks. He's done a lot for me in helping me get my site ready and this whole situation has been pretty devastating for his business. But if I do have to move, at least I know someone that I will NEVER do business with.

  6. Mine also remains untouched, as do a handful of others. Essentially, sites are going down one by one as the B#*#H who is causing this files complaints one by one. She is targeting the bigger and well known sites first.. and is leaving Adam's alone to make him look more suspicious, IMHO. Mine is an unknown site and I'm keeping it that way for now, just to be safe.

  7. I want to be the first to say that this whole situation is a total shame. Graceful Hosting has always been FANTASTIC with me. Emails answered promptly, they have held my hand through the setup process (I'm not a techie by any means), and have been prompt and professional in all their dealings. I hope this whole matter is solved quickly and they are back up and accepting new clients SOON!

  8. Ugh....

Right up there with lack of communication is "dont make a promise you can't keep". I was told that my revisions would be done by Sunday... its Tuesday and no word. No communication. Nada. She states on her website that she is having issues with her email, but she's on yahoo....... so I'm having a bit o' trouble wrapping my head around that. I was really hoping to be able to work on this thing during my days off (I also work 50-60 hours a week.. trying to finance my business changes). But apparently that doesn't appear to be likely.

    SIGH.....

  9. Like I said.. totally patient when it comes to the process. Even once she has her end ready.. my end probably won't be ready for another month after that... so I'm not sweating the timeline. I was worried about the lack of contact.. really hard for us to have a meeting of the minds if there is no communication.

I'm prepared for the revision process too. I'm probably a designers nightmare in that I'm one of those "I'll know it when I see it" people. My logo designer got lucky.. I loved the first one out the gate :) I guess thats why I regret not going with her for the website because we seemed to "click". But.. I really like this girls portfolio and figured I'd give her a shot.

  10. She stated that she never received them... so essentially she received everything fine up until Dec. 29th, then they spirited into the thin nether air of cyberspace.

Which is all well and good, so long as she now keeps in touch I'm ok with things.... hoping the site comes out decent so that I don't have to go spend more money on another site.

    We shall see
