  1. From your list I've tried brown sugar pecan, caramel apple, chocolate chip cookie dough and nana's old fashioned apple butter. The cookie dough one didn't have a knock your socks throw for me- did throw, just didn't knock me down like I like or like the others I've tried from your list. The nana's old fashioned apple butter should be moved to a must have IMO- it's YUM and perfect for fall! The caramel apple is excellent- out of all the caramel apple ones I've tried, this one is my favorite.

  2. Seems very easy to make...thanks for the recipe and the pictures!

    Now I have some questions....

Do you have to refrigerate them? Let say I make them today…how could I store them so they would still be good to give as holiday gifts or is this something I should make like a few days before I give them away?

I put mine in the freezer for about 20 minutes after making them. Then I take them out and put them in little bags. I used one last night that I made last spring and it worked fine for me. I store them in my basement.

  3. Ok first let me say that those pictures are beautiful. Having said that I decided to give it a try...twice. The first batch looked like salt dough when all was said and done. The second at least had some liquid properties to it but was still very grainy. I thought I followed everyones directions and ideas to a T, but they still are not good. Any ideas? Thanks. They do smell wonderful!!

Mine are normally grainy too- they don't look anywhere as pretty as they do in the posted pictures. Not sure why and I've followed the recipe to a T also. The last batch I made, I added an extra ounce of cocoa butter and they were less grainy than before, but still grainy. They are still completely awesome when they're grainy though- they're my favorite thing! LOL

  4. I've used the Honey and Shea- if you've ever smelled it from B&BW, this is a dead on dupe IMO. I don't think I've put it in soy wax, but I did put it in paraffin tarts and got a great throw from it. If you do B&B it's devine in soap and lotions!

  5. Duct tape!

LOL Just kidding. Mine are 4 and 5. The oldest is in Kindergarten all day. If it's a day with no school then they entertain eachother for the most part. If just the youngest is home, I'll pop in a movie for her or set up some sort of craft at the table. Sometimes I have her help me, like putting labels on bags for tarts. It takes her an hour to finish off one sheet of labels but it makes her feel involved and important! LOL

  6. i have no trouble with the candlesources oils and they are cheap, i use pure soy and i get an awesome throw with their oils.

I agree! Their oils are sooooo inexpensive but everyone I've tried has done very well in whatever I've put it in, even better than some of the more expensive places. I have to agree that it boils down to a "try and see" type of thing. What works for one will not work for another.

  7. I absolutely LOVE Snowtops oils so don't get me wrong, but I was very disappointed in their raspberry dream. It throwed great, but to me it smelled nothing like raspberries- if I remember right it reminded me of fabric softener sheets for some reason. I haven't tried a whole lot of raspberry scents, but Raspberry Vanilla Creme from Just Scent is nice.
