  1. The only one on your list I use is the Cinnamon Buns and it is out of this world! Super strong and the best cinnamon buns I've tried. If you're in the market for a good green apple, get it from there. It's extremely strong and dead on. All of their oils are great, don't think you can go wrong!

  2. All of them are #5? I like the black ones!

I don't know. I only asked specifically about the ones I wanted, which were the translucent ones that were labeled specifically as polypropylene. I don't see any black ones from that brand (but I admit I'm not looking too hard-lol) The item # of the ones I bought is UF200PC from food service direct. They're Conex compliment cups manufactured by Dart container. I'd email and ask them about the black ones.

  3. Thanks for the answer Jen....I just went back and looked at them again and they have some that are 1 1/2 oz as well but they say swat cups....dont know about that. Do you use the black ones? And if you dont mind me asking do you color your wax still if using the black ones?

Sorry for so many questions but thanks for the info:D

I have no idea what swat sups are! LOL I think the brand that I got are Conex. I got the translucent ones but if I did black I probably would not bother with coloring them since it's such a pain anyway! LOL

  4. Jen,

I seen that they have a 1oz size do you think that is too small? Most of the tarts I make seems to be about 1oz so I was wondering about them. This does seem like an easier way to do tarts.

    Thanks in advance

It might be to small. To be honest, I just guessed on sizes when I ordered and went with the 2 ounce ones. I fill about 3/4 of the way up and it makes a 1.2 ounce melt. Slightly bigger than the 1 ouncers I did before that. Just because the 2 ounce one when completely full doesn't make a 2 ounce melt, I'd be afraid that the one ounce cups would be too small but I don't know for sure- maybe someone that's tried that size could chime in.

  5. I have a quick question for those who make melts with the portion cups, do you make them in there as in using the cup as a mold, or do you sell it in the cup as well? I have cups but so far have only used them for sniffies of the scents I carry. When I made single melts I got tired of making them in the yan*** shaped molds, putting them in freezer, hoping one of the little edges didnt break when I popped them out, but never thought about using the cups as a mold to sell the single melts. I do clamshells now but I have a LOT of these cups because I bought them in bulk and I only have so many FOs so thought about putting some of them to use.

Shelley- I sell them in the cup. Much like a clamshell in that you just pour, pop the lid on and label it they're just smaller and different shaped:grin2: They sell much better for me than clamshells do. I use a round label on the top of the lid and I think they look pretty good and they hold up a lot better for shipping too. I too got SO tired of pouring into molds, sticking in the freezer, waiting to unmold, bagging in polypro ziplocks and labeling etc. I can pour 500 tarts in less than half the time it took me to do it the other way- it's a little more expensive this way for me, but the trade off on time is more than worth it.

  6. LOL!! no no.

Casaba mist -- mild, fruity and fresh melon.

Tuscan night -- Distinctively different. Fresh, but more air and woods with a touch of snap ... liken to a peppery undertone I suppose. Now this is to me lol.

Yeah I'm guessing that I got a mislabeled bottle of Casaba Mist...nothing fruity or melonish about it! LOL

  7. I've used them all. Juniper breeze is nice in b&b items, but throw was pretty light to me in wax (I use 4794) but that could just be the nature of the scent, never had a juniper breeze that threw like crazy. Brown Sugar and Fig is one of my favorites- have it in tarts and they just won't die! Stargazer lily is another one that I love that I get killer throw with, but I wasn't aware that it's a dupe from B&BW. The rest on your list all threw very well for me too.

  8. My customers don't seem to mind the color. I've noticed that different suppliers' versions of Pink Sugar change different colors too. Peaks' turns it pink, while Daystars turned it brown. I just let my customers know it's a natural reaction because of the vanilla and they don't mind at all.

  9. I don't use this brand of cups, but I do make my melts in portion cups. I get the polypro ones from www.foodservicedirect.com I have not had any issues of them not holding up, as a matter of fact, they hold up better during shipping and protect my melts much more than when I packaged them in polypro ziplocks. I love them, won't ever got back! I use the 2 ounce cups and fill them about 3/4 of the way up.

  10. I'm thinking of purchasing some samples and would like any feedback. I am using 100% soy wax (GB 464). I'm looking for some strong hot throwers! Am also open to any suggestion that are NOT on my list...thanks in advance!!!chipotle cracked pecans, black raspberry vanilla, cinnamon toasted almonds, coffee cramel cream, green apple, ocean mist, pears & petals, sun washed linen, french vanilla, grammy zucchini bread

I don't think you can wrong with any of Loren's oils or his service. I ordered last Monday afternoon and my order was here Wed. morning. Super fast service! From your list I've tried the Cinnamon Toasted Almonds and Zucchini Bread- they're both awesome. The CTA is one of my favorites. You MUST try the pumpkin and vanilla- it's amazing! I really like vanilla and fresh berries, vanilla crunch, cinnamon crunch, cherry clove chutney, melonberry and the gardenia as well- they're all great oils!

  11. Becky rocks!! I ordered last week and I inquired about my order yesterday. I had chosen Fed Ex for delivery because it was much cheaper than UPS, even though I hate Fed Ex and my local drivers since they deliver my boxes to everyone but me. Seems there was a glitch in their system and they couldn't locate my package with the tracking. Becky spent 2 hours trying to locate my box for me only to find out it was scheduled to be delivered today. Box just arrived, safe and sound with two extra samples I didn't order. I love Becky! I love when suppliers take that extra step for their customers!
