I've got a problem. I have two (count 'em) two conflicting methods of determining the ammount of wax to fill a given container, one from Georgia and the other from Top. HELP!!!!!
-
Hey gang, thanks for all the responses to my question. Damn, it's gonna get easier every day, I just know it is. I'm still waiting to hear from TOP one more time.
-
Hey Top. Using your method. It holds 17.5 oz of water times .86 equals 15.5 oz wax. Is that correct? Wax weighs more than water Or rather displaces more than water. Damn, I give up. If that works you've sure made my life a whole lot easier.

My daughter brought be an old candle jar. The one with the wire bale on it to close the lid. The jar is 4 inches square and the mouth is 3 3/8 wide. I have zinc core wicks here (tabed) and they are for 4 and 5 inch containers. Will one of these work for me????? Next, this jar is 3 inches high (fat little bugger) any ideas how much wax to use????
Appreciate ALL input. thanks

NOT THAT I'M OFFENDED But, you mentioned fruity and in the next breath you mentioned my name. Whoops, I'm just kidding babe, I'm all man, that is to say my wife thinks so anyway. Of course what does she lnow, we've only just met each other 51 years ago. Smile. Keep them pix comming, look at all the response yer getting.

Personally would have liked the blue a little lighter, but hey, it ain't my candle and it still looks good. As James Bond would say "for your eyes only"
-
Now you've went and done it. Damn. Wife seen yer pink candle, "can you make me a pink candle for the bathroom" she says. Way to go Mozzie, I'm hooked. Any way in spite of it all, your candle looks great.
-
The candle is spectacular and presented beautifully. My question...I have heard that a black candle does not burn very well, have you tried a burn?? I have someone begging me to make one, thanks for the tip on the ammount of color added.
-
them thars some right fine lookin candles lady. Wow I love the colors, the embossing and the tags. You sure got a winner there , keep the pix comming we love 'em
-
As for colors, I unfortunately use both liquid and chips and darned if I could give ya specifics on any of those. The scents are another story, I log all the scents very carefully so that I can repeat if so desired.

How's an old man supposed to keep up with you Donita. Just when I get fairly comfy doin something along comes DONITA with some new idea. Roll 'em babe, I wanna see them to.
-
Yep, Haddington House is still there. It's in the bottom left of the pillars, it is however quite small and hard to see in the pix.
-
The orange ones are a little lite
on the top because I bumped the bloody table just after I poured and spilled a bunch out of the molds. We kept those back for momma to burn in the house because I never had enough repour to completely fill them (ha)

These are some of the votives ready to be labeled as seen in the previous post. So far I've done 24 boxes (12 to the box) for the cradt market that I sell in. Damn, I'm getting tired of these little suckers but they sell.
-
Here's what I've been doing lately. Notice my new label on the pillar on the left (hope ya can see it) No Donita, no pencils in the candle this time. The votives are all labeled and put into plastic display boxes, 12 different to a box, thus the labels if they should want to order a specific scent.
-
Hi Gang. Anyone know anything about these as for sealing pillars, and where is a guy to find them. Thanks
-
Sure do like the brown ones, they appeal to me more than the other colors. Nice work as always
-
I'm really not into those types of candles. But wow, the pic is great, very creative on your part. Hope you get what yer finally looking for on the dripless candles.
-
great job, gonna try one SOON, nervous though.
-
sounds right to me. Cook 'er up, pour it, burn in, and smile. Wow, I'll give ya $50.00 for the lot, that's a profit of $10.00 and yer laughin all the way to the bank. I'll even pay the shipping. Seriously....GOOD LUCK WITH IT.
-
Donita DA. Are you yankin my chain again. Pencils in the candle indeed. ROFLMAO. Thanks babe, the pencils are behind, it was just a quick question regarding the burn.
-
Many thanks, guy, gals, I wanted to make damn sure before I put it on the market. As you know, customers don't always do it the way we do.

It's got 1 oz.pp of Pina colada, it's a 2" square with a 2/0 cotton wick. At the point the pic was taken it needed trimming, it's at about the third two + hour burn.
