  1. I sell them and yes I know all the issues and concerns. Thanks.
  2. I found crisco worked way better then coconut oil for me.
  3. I used BC scents as well when I first started with soy and I couldn't get them to throw either. I use GB 444 wax. I didn't spend any more money or time. I changed to Justscent and Alabaster and now my hot and cold throw are awesome, if it doesn't work for you move on. It might be your wax it might be your scent, it might be your pour temp, it might be the alignment of the planets, with soy you just never know.
  4. What about shrink wrap with rubber bands around the jar, might make it a bit more presentable? You can buy different size plastic covers for jars with the two holes in the top but there is a cost factor. Other then that I would just keep the other candles out of reach and your demo item within reach.
  5. I had the same thing happen as well. The only thing about switching to liquid dyes is that I found that you will get more frosting. You have to weigh your flaws so to speak..I chose the specks. I just broke up the color a bit finer before I put it into the pot. Cut down a bit on the specks.
  6. I also use Ecosoya Pillar Blend (PB) for my tarts. I really like it. They pop right out and the scent throw is great. I get it from Candle Science too.
  7. I would think you could heat a liquid pretty much as high as the temp you are heating it over. I agree, what are you heating it with. I use a presto pot and found I just needed to turn it up. Maybe you need to try another heating method.
  8. Places like Walmart and such buy from overseas at pennies on the dollar they are not going to pay for your product they pay alot less for their candles then any of us can afford to charge. I know of no one that has ever done business with this company. This site is full of candle makers and not one person has jumped up and said they have made a penny from them so there is your answer. Save your money I would say.
  9. How did you like the tent. I am thinking of buying that exact one. Is it pretty durable? The last one I bought was kind of flimsy and didn't hold up well to the wind.
  10. I am sorry for that, I know how frustrating that can be. You work so hard to set up for a show and it's bad enough not to make any money but to get your stuff stolen on top of it is horrible. I feel for you.
  11. Does anyone know if Golden Brands 444 wax is skin safe? I imagine it is but I can't find anything that says it specifically and I am not entirely sure what blend is used to make it. Thanks
