  1. I have tried changing the settings as far as paper type and it still jams up in there. My printer does not have glossy though. It has different photo paper options and transparencies, plain paper, etc. I have tried everything.

I did get it to work a little better on "HP Premium Photo" but it still does not go in all the way so the printing does not even hit the labels right, if that makes sense. Putting it bluntly, they are a mess.

This really sucks. I had used a laser printer before and I was having problems so I tried the inkjet and they worked beautifully. Now I am back to square one.

I ordered some samples from "Lables by the Sheet" yesterday to see how theirs were. The guy at Online Labels was really nice about it yesterdy. He said if I can't get the labels to work they would refund my money so I might end up doing that.

If anyone here has a inkjet that works let me know or I might have to go with a laser again. :sad2:

  2. I might have to get a different printer to use these labels. My printer worked great when they were using the material that no one else liked. The rougher material. Now they went back to the smoother glossier stuff and my printer keeps jamming up.

I called them and they said they spent a lot of money to go back to the material that was smoother because they were getting so many complaints about the rough stuff. Sure, I have to be the odd ball. That was the stuff that worked great for me. They suggested playing around with the settings but that did not work.

For everyone that uses these with success, what kind of inkjet printer to do you have?

I am not sure if I want to go back to the laser printer right now because of the expense.

  3. I have used it but not in candles per say. I use it for something that is like embeds. It helps to melt it separately on direct heat in a little wax before putting it in your candle wax.

I learned how to use it by doing a search on here. It works pretty good for embeds.

  4. Can't help you out on that one. I have always bought mine from BCN and have always had good luck with them. I have heard you can buy them elsewhere for cheaper but the quality is not always so great.

  5. Well I label mine saying they last up to 4 weeks depending on the FO, exposure and use. I say 4 weeks because that is the minimum so when they last longer everyone is happy!

It seems they get used up faster when it is hotter and last longer when it is cooler. I have had some that lasted a 2 to 3 months.

  6. These are the Scents for Soy scents? If so, they aren't any stronger than any of the other reputable suppliers' scents. If they haven't changed the formulation since they were sold under SFS, they are nice FO's and worth the extra money. I use to order from SFS and its been a while since I ordered from this company but when I did, the oils I received seemed to be the same as I remembered and the quality and CS were good. I haven't tried the Pumpkin Cheesecake though.

I guess I did not read your answer very good. They are the Scents for Soy scents. But I do have a question....what do you mean by the CS were good? Do you mean the cold throw? It is probably something easy and when I find out the answer will hit myself on the forehead.

  7. Are the oils from FOC stronger than average? In other words, can you use some of these oils at 1/2 the amount. I have read that Candle Cocoon's oils are for the most part this way but wondering how FOC's oils are?

The reason for my question is because I was thinking of trying the Pumpkin Cheesecake and I see their prices are a little high.

    TIA

  8. I used soy for about 3 years and I got sick of the frosting and blooming issues and it seemed there were some FOs that just did not work well in it.

I switched to palm and really like it..... now that I have the hang of wrecking the tops. Some people say they have never found an FO that did not work in palm but I did find a couple that were not all the great as far as hot throw. Can't remember which ones right off the top of my head though. There were a couple also that I thought did better in soy but they still worked okay in palm.

  9. Can't help you with the large question because the ones in my yard are the smaller ones so that is waht I use.

I collect them up in a pail and then put water in the pail to wash them off a little. Then I put them in the oven for a while until I think any bugs in them might be dead. Then I usually just let them sit for a dew days and by that time they are all dry and ready. And that's just because I usually don't have time to get to them until a few days to a week later.

    HTH a little.

  10. I don't sell as many of those as I do candles and incense. I offer the refills and have sold a few of those.

I had a couple people tell me they bought one and the did not even work so maybe some people think they are just a rip-off. When I asked where they got theirs from they said from Walmart or the dollar stores. I tried to tell them mine have been tested and they do work but they usually don't seem to care by that point and move on.

  11. Hhmmm. I have some Mistletoe but it is not from CS. Now that I think of it that was the only pine related FO I could get to work in reed diffusers.

I think I will give that one a try.

    Thank you!

  12. Has anyone here ever found a pine scent that is strong in ornies? I have tried BCN Northwoods Christmas and Oh Christmas Tree and they both don't really have any lasting power although Northwoods was better than Christmas Tree.

I have a couple customers that are pine fanatics.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    TIA
