  1. I guess our soy waxes must be different then, I see no increase in frosting after I use a heat gun on them. There are very few that I have to zap and they're usually reds or dark browns when it does happen. Could also have to do with different weather conditions. I've found that soy will never look absolutely perfect all the time and my customers don't expect it to either. I stopped worrying a long time ago!

  3. sound like one I got a while back and he probably want to pay with a stolen credit card. My guys name was "James Larry" and I'm pretty sure it was from Nigeria but I didn't have my tracker then, I wish I did!

  4. I've never seen the scent cellar at BCS! I clicked on your link and it took me right to it but when I look on the site I'm not seeing it. Where did you find it at? Maybe I'm just blind:)

    Fos' I've tried from there:

    Red Velvet Cake~awesome

Pumpkin Cheesecake~awesome too! Body safe but I have a reaction to it because of the cinnamon.

Gulf Tides~ really nice fresh scent and really strong!

Citrus Splash~ awesome throw but can't sell it, it's on my closeout list

Sissie's Sugar Cookies~the best sugar cookie I've tried, great throw in soy

Mulberry~ they aren't kidding when they say you can use half as much, it's SUPER strong!

    Lemon Bundt cake CO~ great!

Vanilla Extract is good but they have better vanillas IMO at BCN

Scratch Cake~ super strong but not body safe

  5. I go through the soap guild and they have 1 mil for $485 I think and 2 mil for $535. They cover soap, candles and B&B.

    www.soapguild.org

if you don't make soap they have a link there to the indie beauty network and it's the same insurance.

Very easy to sign up and you can read the entire policy there. It covers liability and also covers you at shows. It does not cover your home but as far as I can tell it does cover everything else!

  6. I've never smelled an egg smell to this base, I think you may just be one that picks up different smells and it could also be the FO.

I started using this base about a year and a half ago and have never looked back. It's the best out there, I LOVE it and my customers love it too! At that price you can't beat it...no pun intended:)

I use the hand mixer with mine because I think it helps the FO incorporate into the base better and you get a more fluffy appearance but that's just my preference.

This last batch I got seems to have a softer consistency that other batches I've gotten. It probably has more soy oil in it that usual, not sure but it's still great.

I tried the glaze and while I liked it I much preferred the whip.

Have fun with it, it's a great product!

  7. I've searched for hours to find these hot pink spray bottles I've seen and finally decided to post this question. Any help would be appreciated:)

I'd like to find these in 2 or 4oz size. I think they're PET and the have black sprayers and they look like a hot pink metallic coating on them.

Anyone know where to get them?

    Thanks so much!

  8. Lysa,

I would check into the Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild for product liability. It doesn't cover your home only your products and it also covers you at shows. It covers you if you make soap, B&B and candles. If you don't make soap they have a link on the site where you can get the same insurance on another site(I think it's Indie Beauty Network?)

The coverage is 1mil for $480/year or 2mil for $535/ year, the price is good and it's easy to get. You can read the policy on the site.

I think the addy is soapguild.org?
