That looks great and the colour is gorgeous.

I find that I am getting jump lines. I am pouring paraffin with 10% stearine, 5% fo plus UV and dye at 167F. Now, I'm thinking that a) I could pour at a hotter temp, and or warm the glass first. Any suggestions please? TIA.

Michael, they are all sensational. 47! Already? Do you ever sleep? Keep 'em coming, they're beautiful.

Here are some of the impressions I get when I see your logo: You have a great heart, a sense of fun, are a spiritual company, are honest and trustworthy and your products will be of good quality. HTH. Mozzie

Sabrina, they both look gorgeous - fabulous colours. How did they go after lots of burns? I'll still finding that 36 ply flat braid is a great starting point for testing palm. Hope you find a "local" supplier. Mozzie

The brown is Coffee color from Peaks and then the Green is really a blue. I am down in Florida, but I think the blue I used was from Peaks. Either Peaks or Greenleaf. The back right one was my leftover waxes and just put them all together so it looks like crap.

Christina, I like it. I didn't word my question well though, what I meant is, how did you achieve the 2-colour effect? Are they layers? TIA. Mozzie

Love those rustics and I can see why your daughter would like her many-layered pillar - nice one too and not at all ugly IMO.
-
The pink looks great but I'm intrigued by the green and brown pillar (at least they're those colours on my monitor) in the back right hand corner. How did you manage that?
-
Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh! That is so scary looking especially the first pic. Glad that some good came out of it (your smooth hands) but how about putting a warning up next time, like "not for the squeamish". LOL.

Both look great - good job. Palm wax is a lot of fun and I love the colour you've got there. BTW, it may just be the photo but it looks like the palm candle has been repoured beyond the original pour line - nothing that a good levelling won't fix but just thought that I'd mention it.

Very nice!

While I think that your chunks look great I understand the frustration of too opaque an overpour. Did you add anything to your overpour wax? Both vybar and stearic will make the wax more opaque so try straight paraffin for a more translucent look. You may also want to pack your chunks in more tightly so that there is less room for your overpour - that will help as well. Nice job anyway.

That looks gorgeous, really fresh. Nice one, especially for your first.

Here's a link to a supplier that has an excellent range of products and is very helpful and knowledgeable. However you may find his prices a bit on the high end. The owner is Alan Teather. HTH. http://www.candleicious.co.uk/

I just couldn't survive without my heat gun. It makes cleaning up so easy. Plus it's handy for heating moulds for a shiny finish and other such niceties.

Steal away lol! I couldn't have done them without use of Steve's thang. (That sounds horrible lol, but I'm sworn to secrecy on it so don't ask.)
Thanks Scented. I won't say another word but my mind is doing a bit of boggling. LOL.
-
Scented, the Plumeria are just gorgeous. Love the way you played around with the layers - very artistic. These are definitely going in my "ideas to steal" book. LOL.

They look a bit like pin holes to me, which I understand happens when the pour temp is too hot. Maybe try again at 175F to see if that helps. While there are a ton of hints and instructions out there getting a style and finish that is pleasing to you will likely take a fair amount of experimentation. Nice first job BTW.

They look stunning, absolutely sensational and just perfect for the product you're offering. Bet you get lots of sales.

That's really pretty - funny out "not really trying" often works out better than meticulous planning. Very serene candle.
-
Wow, that is a neat trick. I like them.
-
That's the nicest wiggle candle I've seen - I really like that it's so understated. Lovely colours too.
-
I really like that mould, and colour is gorgeous. Congratulations - there's nothing quite like the excitement of unmoulding a new candle (and the anticipation just never goes away!).
-
Lin, that is just amazing. No wonder that people are just loving them - sensational!

Love the colour, and yes, wait a bit longer before repouring. Nice finish though.
