Hi-
I am a newbie and looking to make some soap next week. I am looking for a really creamy soap with a nice lather. I would like the recipe to contain shea butter...just b/c I love it! Can anyone help me out? I find all the lye calculators very confusing...even though I have been reading up on all this for weeks. Also, where is the best place to buy shea for soap making? Thanks so much, you are all so helpful!

Their site is VERY easy to navigate. Just go to the main shopping page, click on category you want and add items to your shopping cart. You can view cart at any time. I have been ordering from this site for going on 6 years and don't find it confusing at all. Carole
It could just be because this is my first time ordering from them, it is not set up like any other supplier sites I frequent.

No recs. I just wanted to wish you good luck in navigating their site-youre. Gonna need it!
Thanks for the warning; however, I already stopped trying to navigate it...
Is there some sort of trick yo the BCN site or am I a moron? I can't even figure out how to add a couple of items to my cart. Wow, maybe I will search down some lye elsewhere. Too bad because I wanted to cut a serrated soap cutter and some vanilla stabilizer as well. This is just too frustrating!

Can anyone lead me to a good recipe and mold for making massage bars? I already did a board search, and came up with some results. Thanks so much!

Hi,
I decided that I want to purchase a mold. Has anyone tried the TOG 10" Econo Break-A-Way Mold? If so, what are your thoughts? It sounds like Paul makes great soap molds, but I am curious about this model. Thanks!

from Nature's Garden. I use their oils for my wax tarts and I would like to stick with them for soap oils as well. Also, has anyone tried their dye for CP soap? Thanks so much!

Thanks...I have a Super Walmart right up the road. Now I need to find an easy beginners recipe and order one of your molds! Any recipe recommendations for a 2 pound batch?

Okay, thanks for that info. I am sorry to seem annoying, but what would be the best place to purchase the items you have listed? I think I can get lye from Lowes or Home Depot. We also have some small/local hardware stores too. Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply, did this yield a decent soap? Thanks again, I think I will order tomorrow.

Thanks for your reply, I have checked that website out, but it really overwhelmed me! What would you recommend using as a mold? I am afraid to purchase anything too pricey...thanks so much!

Hi,
I currently make wax tarts, but I am now interested in attempting CP soap making...just as a hobby for gifts, etc. Is anyone able to help me get started...I am clueless as to distributors, supllies, etc. I have done some online research, but nothing seems to be very specific. Any help anyone could offer me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
