  2. I am looking to make some bath bombs for Christmas gifts. I am wondering if anyone has a tried and true recipe? I want to make round, ball shaped bombs. I saw that some people use the ornaments from Michael's, but I am open to ordering a mold from a good company. Thanks so much in advance! santalol -Jamie

  6. I plan on making a two pound batch of soap using NG Baby Bee Buttermilk. Their website states that there is no acceleration in CP and only a slight discoloration: I want to add a some ground oats...Would two TBS at trace be adequate? What type of oats can I use? Also...(I know lots of questions here) can I add 1 or TPS of honey? Here is the recipe I am going to use: Lard 30% Coconut 15% Shea 5% Castor 10% Olive 40% Soap Calc Results: Hardness 33 Cleansing 10 Condition 63 Bubbly lath. 19 Creamy lath. 31 Iodine 63 Okay one more ?...when I use soapcalc 9. So I need to change the lye concentration to a specific % say 33% or just leave it as is? Thanks so much ladies!!!!! -Jamie

  8. I made my soap yesterday and put it in the mold overnight. I peeked at it this morning and it seems to have firmed up; however, there is what looks like dew on the top. Will this go away? As of right now it has been in the mold for 12 hours. My soap is in a wooden TOG log mold with the cover on. Thanks for your input! -Jamie
  9. I will for sure, I just poured into my mold after attempting swirls with purple dyed soap. We will see....I am very excited!!!

  13. I will...I think I am going to use the room temperature CP method you did in your last tutorial. My first scent attempt is going to NG Raspberry Vanilla. We'll see what happens! Thanks for your input!!!

  17. I have done my homework, I have read for almost a month, I have studied miller soap's website, watched and read online tutorials, etc. I guess I was just looking for some guidance with the soap calculator, recipe etc. Apparently I need to keep reading, thanks for your help.

I have all of my supplies...they are as follows: Olive Oil Castor Oil Coconut Oil Shea Butter Lye 2# Tog Mold Goggles Gloves Wisk, pot, pitcher, scale, spoons, etc. I can pick up lard or Crisco if need be...now what I am looking for is help developing a 2# recipe...the soap calculator scares me :embarasse... I want a nice bar of soap...nice creamy lather...obviously non-drying. Something I will be proud of! Thanks so much! -Jamie
  19. My friend knows that I am beginning to dabble in soap making and she asked me to locate a recipe for a super moisturizing bar with a creamy lather. She has very dry winter skin and said most soaps lack the moisturizing component. Is there a CP recipe I could make for her? Thanks ladies!!! Jamie

  21. Thanks for your response. Goggles I have gloves I will pick up at Wal-Mart. I have not purchased any oils yet...I figured I could get some at Wal-Mart as well. ANy recs of oils from BCN?
  22. Here is what is in my cart thus far. lye vanilla stabilizer serrated cutter *I wanted to get some shea butter, but it only comes in 4# tubs Anything else I need?
