  1. Hm... "just" a follower, that is not the story I heard! LOL

Envy Candles - we have other guests that drive at least that far, make it a mini vacay! I think we only have a couple of local guests - the rest are from all over.

    They lied!!

How can you trust the word of someone with a hangover and wears a lime on their head?:laugh2:

  2. Just hanging out with us makes for a FUN time....

what happens in PA.... stays in PA:laugh2:

ETA: I will be shooting off an email to get pricing. Will post when I get it.

This CoOp is for the gathering only. I don't want to have to ship before the gathering.

  3. Well.. I made it!

In 60oz of oils I added 4oz of pureed carrots, 2 egg yolks, & 3oz of honey. We shall see tomorrow how it smells. I decided not to add any additional scent. Hopefully, the ammonia smell will go away (first time soaping buttermilk) and the honey will come through.

I used more EVOO in this than my normal recipe too..

    After working 6 10+ hours a day .... I needed some relaxation!!:yay:

Although I am back to the same next week starting tomorrow :shocked2:

  4. 1 oz wt. cosmetic grade beeswax

3 oz wt deodorized cocoa butter

    2 oz wt. kokum butter

    1.5 oz wt. avocado butter

1.5 oz wt. kukui seed oil

.1 oz wt. natural vitamin E

.3 - .5 oz wt. favorite fragrance or essential oil.

Change out the beeswax with either carnuba or candelilla.

Carnuba is HARDEST. I would swap out maybe .25oz of the beeswax for either of these.

    or

Sub some of the above for the CB. You wouldn't really miss .25oz of CB.

    or

    Add in some cetyl!!! LOL

cut formula in 1/2. Weigh it in grams.

  5. Another thought....

if you are melting your menthol crystals in with your other oils, you may be "burning" of the majority of the scent that comes with them.

Melt them first in your EO or FO then add that as you normally would.

You will probably see that it is REALLY STRONG. Thus the reason to not use that high of a %.

    HTH

  6. Okay.. Here is your base recipe: (it's even in YOUR measurements!!!:P)

10 oz Ultra Shea butter (though I did use unrefined)

    2 T Coconut Oil

1 T Veg oil (though I did use Hemp and it really isn't that light of an oil, but goes well with a patch scent)

1 T mentol crystals (melted) ... and be prepared for it to be overpowering

    2 tsp. glycerin

    FO or EO (optional)

Lotioncrafter's calls for 5% Cetyl so why not add that to what you already have and see what it brings to the formula.

It says on her site that they are adding it to help with summer heat stability.

If I can ever find a wee bit of time to play, I might try it, but i don't see it in the near future.
