  1. I am not very happy with the Apple Jack and Peel that I have been using for the past couple of years. The fragrance has become watered down and is not as strong from the supplier as it use to be.

What are your favorite Apple Jack and Peel suppliers? I need to find a stronger one.

    :)

  2. Thank you for everyone's help, I have the hay scent down but farm stores have also got a molasses's smell from the grain they have and I can't seem to find anything with molasses's other than maple syrup which is to sweet.

    :)

  3. You can fan may page ;) it is gourmet food and coffee and I give away a lot of stuff!

I understand how you feel about fanning all these sites that sell the same thing as you.

I usually only fan pages that are someone that I know, products that I am interested in hearing updates about or a page that gives away freebies.

I think that you just have to do what you think is best for your business. I personally try to fan and network with people that are in different niches than myself.

    :)

  4. What is the proper way to set up a fan page? It's somewhat confusing to me.

The easiest way is to visit someones business page and look for the link at the bottom left corner

"Create A Page For My Business"

You can create the page without publishing it. Once you start clicking around on the links to modify things it is not to difficult.

There are little options that you will find looking through it all. You can choose whether to let your fans post links or not, I personally don't because my page is not really there for others to advertise on, its for my business news and such. But some people like to network with links, either way you can control it.

You can also give other fans admin access ect. there are a lot of little items hidden around.

    :)

Oh I had to add ... It tool me awhile to find this one. If you have more than one business page like myself you can add each one to your current page by clicking on "Add To My Pages Favorites" located in the top right menu just below your profile pic. For example, if you go to my page, http://www.facebook.com/candleshoppe#!/pages/Todays-Work-At-Home-Mom/280324008953 You can see my other three pages below my fans.

  5. I recently purchased a used silicone mold and it smells like it's been sitting in a bar.

Does anyone know how I might get out the smell. I have let it air out for a few days but it is still really strong. I don't know if the wax will pick up the smell or not.

Made the mistake of not asking if it was from a smoke free home...

    :)Thanks a bunch!!

  6. Definitely communication and I can't stand liars.

I ordered 10 samples of which a couple I needed to fill an order. I get my sample and the two that I needed were replaced with some other scents that I did not order.

When I questioned the company about the order the response was, "We tried to reach you by email and called with no answer, so we sent you something else."

I looked back on my invoice to make sure that my email and phone # were correct, yep. I had no emails, double checked the spam and no phone call on the caller ID from them.

Wow, so just randomly send what ever you want if you can't fill the order and don't let me know, then lie about trying to contact us?? It's a business phone with caller ID and voice messaging...

At least offer to send the correct ones when they come in....

However, I also called a company to ask if they had 1 oz of a certain scent in stock and they offered to send it to me for free!!

  7. I've never gotten a bad oil from Candle Science... what I mean by that is the scent might not be my favorite but it doesnt smell bad or off. Like Lemon Verbena... it wasnt my favorite, but my husband and best friend both LOVE it.. so while I might smell it and go "ew..." they think its fantastic.

Peaks is the same for me, I've never once had a bad oil from them, just some that I personally didnt love but still carry for the customers who do.

Thanks, that is exactly what I mean, I want to start buying more from the suppliers that have higher quality scents.

Enjoy the Mnts in Utah for me, that is where I grew up and I am currently in super flat Kansas.

    :)

  8. There are some fragrance companies out there that seem to have some decent scents and then some real let downs.

In your opinion which suppliers do you have the best luck with?

I have been making wickless for a couple of years and am moving into candles. I really need to narrow down my suppliers for fragrance and was interested in your opinions as I have found that fragrance suppliers are a bit like department stores and vary greatly with their oil quality.

    :)Thanks so much!!
