If you can get 444 can you get 464 locally? I had to use 444 in a pinch and didn't lilke it at all. I do, however, love 464. Takes a little tweaking to get it perfect, but once you do you won't be dissaspointed. Try it.

I just ordered some lip tubes and flavor oils from lipbalmtubes.com. I ordered lemon cheesecake and brown sugar and neither one of them have any flavor. OOB they smell great, but oob they taste like alcohol. What am I doing wrong. In lip balm they really do nothing. HELP Here is my recipe. Could the unrefined cocoa butter have something to do with it. 1/2oz cocoa butter 1/2oz beeswax 1/2oz SAO 1 capsule vit E 2.5 ml flavor oil

I made ls, it has been diluting for about 2 weeks. Tried to add a vanilla scent to it and it is more like paste again. I tried it with rose scent and it is fine. I just didn't think that LS would seize like that.

My ls looks really runny. I add FO to it and rock hard. What is up????

I don't think that my actions were foolish at all, if I were concerned about the safety of my products, I wouldn't have sold them. If I had any doubts at all. Who are you to call what I do foolish? I understand that you are ALOT more seasoned that I am, but does that mean that my products or quality are any less than yours? You can say that they are all day long, but the truth is, you can't know for sure. I am tired of people acting so self righteous. You are a talented soap maker yes, but are you the be all end all, handing down judgement to the little people, no. No one is. We are all learning. Maybe you consider what I did a little premature, but I don't. I hope that when you all were new to this that people where a little less beat around the bush rude to you.

I got it in the kitchen department. It is really a serving tray. Not sure what it might be under online. I couldn't find it either.

I have been giving out soaps to friends and family to try. They love them. Especially the salt bars and my husband just said to me last night, "so when are you going to try and sell some of these soaps". There was a community yard sale today and we put stuff out and I set up my overstock of Christmas candles and I thought, what the heck, I will set out some soaps and body butter. They were a hit. I thought people around here would scoff at the $4 price, but they ate them up. One lady bought 3. I am so excited. I can't wait to make more and I just ordered a beveler from KB. I ran over to my neighbor and said " someone bought soap and I didn't have to give it to them." Sorry, I am a freak.

$4.99 It made 18 3x3 bars for me. Very heavy duty. I BANGED it on the concrete and not even a scratch.

Here is the "saved" soap in the mold. Supposed to be swirled with green tangerine and yellow pop micas. It does smell fantastic.

THey were both room temp. Oh well, I think that I fixed it. I am pretty handy with a putty knife and I smoothed out the tops and it actually looks okay. Now when it's cut might be a different story. Ikea is about 1.5 hours away, but it was worth the drive. I got the mold and some new bedding for my daughters. I will post a pic as soon as I remove the soap from the mold. It was $4.99

I have been so excited to soap Palm Island fron NG. Today I was at IKEA and got a tray that hold 85oz. I read on NG website that Palm island has no excelleration and I am excited. I get my oils ready, my colors, because I am going to master the ITP swirl tonight. I get my handy stickblender out and add my lye to my oils, all good, I add my FO and UUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGG, traced REALLY fast. I didn't have time for my ITP swirl or any semblance of another type of swirl I glopped my colored portions in and tried to swirl. It was like running my pop stick through drying cement. I had to bang and bang just to get it even. It looks like CRAP. I am so mad because I feel like I wasted 4oz of a great FO. I even ground down orange peels and didn't have time to get them in either. I guess we will see how it turns out.

I bought one about 2 weeks ago. While I like it, it can sometimes leak around the seams if you don't SCREW IT TIGHT. For the money I think that it is an okay jumping off point. I really want a tog or kelsei. I have the 2#cp Mr Do Right. The 3 in one with the cutter on the end. Does make nice even loaves and the cutter is easy to use. Hope that helps.

I wanted to know if anyone would share their cost per pound to make soap. I am trying to figure it out.

The way mine came out would work in the malibu tubes. Not too thick and not too thin. This recipe is just right.

I just made this with castille soap and shea butter subbed in. I just took a shower with it and it is AMAZING. Thanks so much for the recipe.

I made a 90% lard 10% pko bar the other day. Which is a stain stick and it is so nice and hard and white. It is also conditioning on my hands. I love working with lard.

Rosemary verbena is nice, Blue vanilla is great, but I didn't like Orange blossom. Not my cup of tea and I love citrus scents. Peach cobbler also smells yummy oob

can you make salt bars with CPHP? I wanted to make some and use them sooner than CP allows
