  1. These people do not become dangerous until people believe all what they say.... BTW why would a person look at a candle if S/He wanted to eat something?? I never got that "It is so natural you could eat it" kind of markeing sorry i could not resist
  2. LOL i've been thinking of this for a while to. Well for an easy way to pack it i would choose stick, however if i was going to use it for a massage i would want to be able to hold it in my hands for a few minutes first before rubbing it on and i can't imagine myself rubbing a stick on my palms for a while ....but they would be nice for presentation. So honestly i would prefer a bar in a tin, that i could just plop out and return....HTH's! (A nice label would make up for the bar being in a tin)
  3. Not as pretty as the others and 2 oz seems to be the biggest size but they have them to http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin69c.html in diffrent colours and packs of diffrent sizes, the smallest being 12 units.
  4. Don't use the vinegar straight on the skin...dilute it with some cold water, and maybe if you have some lavendar essential oil add it to it (after all the person who discovered its effects had burnt his hand and then dipped it into a vessel that lavendar oil.) and then use it as a compress.... otherwise good luck with the calendula experiments, and i hope he gets better soon!
  5. Berry Sugar cake-smells like an extremly sugary grenadine syrup to my nose. Delightful berry creme- OOB i can detect tangy berry scents, though knowing these FO's the cream tone will probably come out when it is place in product. midnight pomengrate- I LOVE THIS, Becky was so nice to include this (forgot if i ordered or not) and i do not know what the BBW smells like but this is a grown up scent i do not know how pomengrate should smell like but his has a diffrent kind of berry. very soft and nice. i will make a few roll ons of this! raspberry vanilla cream- exactly like the name, it reminds me of those ice popsicles that have cream inside them, OOB this is strong. strawberry- to my nose OOB this a beautiful powdery strawberry bubblegum sugar plum berries- a festive berry. it is plums with a sparkling sugary note, i think i will use this to do most of my xmas gifts this year. i didn't order any vanilla or coffee scents but i think will do that with the next order...Hope these reviews are helping. i buy them for B&B so unfortunatley cannot help with wax...
  6. I was going to tell you vinegar to. it stings so bad for the first few seconds but then it helps soothe the burn quicker. i think making milk comprosse are an option to....your poor son hope he feels better soon!!! i think apple cider vinegar is the better one for the skin
  7. Thanks lindsay, they were in bottles in the cooking section of the store and i looked at all angles of the bottle to try and get more clues, but i had none! so i decided to come and ask here! you are so helpful thanks:yay:
  8. lol, no one was being hurtful to anyone i think it is just a little misunderstanding (the problem with the intrnet is we cannot see people's facial features so these things happen, anyway it is not important) back to the subject i asked because i found a site that talked about making cream soap to use in the shower as liquid soaps were too drying. Then i thought if it is a cream and you use it in the shower and it foams that is just like the FBB, but i did hear about the latter being drying, but the website claimed the cream soap was an answer to drying soaps...so i became confused. Also i do not like that i do not know half of the ingredients used in FBB now my hand is itching to make some cream soap, but i will have to wait as the kinds of lye are needed...sigh... Thanks everyone!
  9. I'm afriad i'm only using them for B&B, i can't afford to dabble in importing wax and etc at the moment, but if you ask her(Becky) she is helpful as she tests many of the scents in wax. HTH's
  10. I'm so excited my order of more than 2 dozen FO's came(such it is international shipping i might as well ordera lot in one go than a little in many goest) Becky is a super sweet woman, she helped when i was having problems with the cart when another etailer simply quit (we do not have zipcodes so it just makes life harder for some ppl....) Anyway will review all the scents i ordered but i only have one nose so will do six at a time. Glamour girls-This is beautiful soft but strong. i forgot what this is made of, but to my noses it smells like a GROWN UP sweet grape with a powder undertone. I love it! Violet Strawberry- Exactly like the name. At first the strawberry is more evident then the violets come out. Sexy in a subtle way and very romantic everytime i take a whiff i remeber old England with the gardens, lovely dresses and chariots. Powder puff- Forget it if you are looking for a straight baby powder. i can feel the baby powder is somewhere in this scent but the most evident note is a tangy floral if it makes any sense. it is not a bad scent, but i cannot decide if i like it or not yet. Coconut lavender-Reminds me of beauty saloons and spas. Very very calming and soothing.would be fabulous in B&B, the lavender is there and so is the coconut. Soothing and fresh at the same time. Cotton candy-Too sweet OOB but i could see it smelling just like pink cotton candy when cut in B&B. and last but not least Pixie dust- Lovely sweet and fruity. Smells like a fruit cocktail that has orange and other see through juices as its mainingredients. It nearly reminds me of these packs of squre chewy candies. I think it would be perfect for a childrens line or adults that want a feel good scent(it is uplifting) Well hiding them away from me for now will review other scents tommorrow but 'hope this helped some!
  11. They always need to be cut, even cosmetic grade ones regardless what may be said on some websites. If you want to use them as a perfume spray or hair product then a mix of Cyclomethicone and other oils can be used (lotioncrafter has one, waves to Jardyga and thanx her for telling me about the site) if you want it as a roll on, u could use, FCO, Jojoba(though somewhat oily), or SAO. It is not fair for some fragrances to be used straight away, as putting them in creams let the scent come out in a more rounded and nicer way.
  12. I took some advise and went looking for the oils i could find locally, and i found some coconut oil, near the usual tins, but this one was liquid. i read the ingredients and it said 100% coconut oil. Can i use this in formulas that require fractioned coconut oil, as all i know about FCO is that it does not soldify in room temprature like this one, and has no odor. TIA
  13. between foaming bath butter, and cream soaps(not the ones that solidfy). I was looking at the cover of "Making cream soap" by catherine failore online, and the soaps look just like foaming bath butters. Except for the inclusion of lye in the cream soaps, how big is the diffrence between the two:confused:
  14. Thanks everyone, i think i will use it try it for a personal room spray. I went to diffrent supplier sites now and noticed that for linen sprays, many have wH as one of the main ingredients, so maybe i'll try it! Thanks again.
  15. As an earlier poster mentioned weigh everything, but measure the teaspoons. Most B&B recipes if not all, go by weight.
  16. Not wanting to repeat what the others said, but yes citrus scents do cheer people up. other than the one's mentioned above you could also try Bergamot and Neroli, but as another poster mentioned, it is psychological. Many people associate scents that we may love or hate with diffrent times of their life, when they felt happy or sad, it could be personal....hmm maybe that's why most people like sweet foodie scents (childhood birthday cakes etc...) BTW i do not know why but that packaging and bottle shape creeps me out...
  17. I read on another board that you could use witch hazel if you do not have any of the ingredients required for a spray, did anyone try this and is it a good advice:confused: The people did seem knowledgable but i've always though of this ingredient as something for oily skin formulas not scents...any thoughts?
  18. I feel so gutted, i do use UPS for shipping sometimes, but mostly for nearby countries, i was about to place an order with an FO supplier and though the products were just under $200 the shipping was under $300 and that is without taking taxes, duties etc... USPS packages usually got lost or take forever to reach me, so i have to try a courier like these, and so far i had good expeirence with FedEx so would not mind trying them for FO's thank you so much.
  19. Chocolate lipblams! they are lovely and you can make them with white or dark chocolate and are easy to make most of the time!
  20. Hello lovley people, If you used lipidthix, how hard to the butters become, are they too soft or two hard? and any idea how to make the butters harder or softer than they are?? TIA
  21. Has anyone tried this scent? what did you think of it and what did it remind you of? TIA
  22. Thanks for the reply, i used 25% but i wanted to figure out how many i could do if i increased the FO %. Thank you!
  23. I am curious to how many 1/3oz roll-ons does 1oz of FO makes for others?
