  1. I am having difficulty getting my wicks centered consistently.  I’ve been testing waxes, wicks and fragrances for the last two years and this is my last remaining hurdle.  I’m using a wick setter, but about half the time the wicks are off center.  What am I doing wrong?

  2. Two of my favorite scents aren't selling and I believe it's due to their name.  People like it when it's burning, but they don't buy it when they see it on the shelf.  So, any suggestions for names for Sugar Corn Pudding and Amish Quilt?

  3. It's made by homespunheartprim on etsy. If she doesn't have it listed, just send her a private message telling her you're interested and she'll let you know when she lists it. Her molds are expensive, but very unique and nice. Her ornament molds start at $25.00 each. Have fun!

  4. I love this! too funny - and sadly, true!

Oh, good Lord! I'm beginning to think we should just stick a big ole warning label on everybody's forehead instead of our products. "Warning...I am an idiot. I might do something stupid at any given time. Don't give me anything flammable, pointy, sharp, dull, soft, hard, with moving parts, wet, dry, huge, tiny, plastic, paper, or anything that consists of molecules because I might hurt myself or someone else while using it incorrectly!"
  5. I think I goofed. I've never ordered from Aroma Haven. I was looking for a place to enter the code for the sale price and didn't see it. I thought it would be on the last page but, then I realized my order was placed without it. I do NOT want 20 samples if I can't get the sale price. I sent them an email asking them to cancel the order if I can't get the sale price. Do you think there will be a problem?

  6. If you sign up for a UPS account online the rates are cheaper. I was going to a local place and paying for each shipment as I went and UPS driver kindly told me about this one day. Also, if you ship often and have a pickup service, which has a weekly charge depending on how much you ship, they will give you 30% the published price. They also supply the labels for free. I would have never known about these services had it not been for my UPS driver. I just print everything online and get a weekly bill.

  7. Just learned that CandleScience is discontinuing Jack Frost. It's a really good seller for me. They are already out of the 5 lb. and 16 oz. size so you better grab it before it's gone if it's one of your favs!

  8. That happened to me before when I ordered something small when shipping was free on something else. They told me to put them through as a separate order.

You should really enjoy it! I ordered some new fo's (for me) yesterday too plus their new one Pear Glacee. Can't beat free shipping. Wished I could have taken more of an advantage of it. Tried to order 1 packet of dye chips but it jumped the shipping up to a little over $7.00 and I live only 2 hours away!
  9. After making tarts for the past 18 months, I'm finally comfortable enough to start making candles. I poured my first one a couple of days ago and was very pleased with the way it turned out. I used 6006 with 6% fo. It looked great!!! Today I did my test burn and it only took me 10 minutes to discover I did something very wrong! I used ECO 14 for my wick. But, now that I think about it when I bought those wicks I was planning on using a larger container. So, I went to a site that had a wick guide and it said for my container (pint size regular mouth mason jar) I should use ECO 2 but they're only available in a 3" length? Is this correct? When I lit the candle the flame was too big, it was throwing black soot and the candle had a petroleum smell. Where do I go from here? Maybe just stick with melts! lol
