Maybe you could scent the bear Red Currant. I really love the tarts they are awesome. I know they will sell. You couldn't have picked a better scent then
Pink Sugar.

Oh wow!! I might have to come to that. I love Utica. I live about an hour and a half away. See if the family might want to go.

If your making a scented pillar you want it to have a melt pool so you get more scent throw. If it drips you wont get the pool.
-
I need some suggestions. What do you guys do to keep your chunks from
bleeding?
-
I use Joy Wax. It's got an amazing scent throw. You only have to do one pour and it's really smooth and creamy.

Today I made a hurricane. I used Genwax's hurricane wax. I added 10% microwax. When I took my hurricane out it had what can only be described as mottling. Does anyone know what happened and what I can do so it won't happen again? oh yeah i also added a little pink coloring block.

At my Dollar Tree they have those little tart burners. You could make some tarts and put in some tealights.

Are a lot of you liking these scents for candles? Sorry, sometimes I lose track of who is doing candles or B&B or both.
Sorry I forgot to tell you guys, I use it for candles. Not ready for B&B yet.

It's going to look awesome in a fireplace

If you do by chance make hurricanes too, that would be really good because they are not expensive to make, because there is no FO (that's a lot of the price of making them) and there is no wick. IT would be awesome to embed candy canes or christmas candy. Or if you dont want to do that maybe you could just make a red and white layered pillar. OOh or maybe you can make a pillar with a Christmas tree embed.

Be sure you follow up with Pourette. I order from them on Monday of last week and on Thursday gave them a call because I saw that they had not taken the money from my checking account. Their response was, "Oh, why is your order still here". They did ship it out that day but I was hoping to have recevied by last weekend as they are only two states away and I only ordered two molds.:rolleyes2
Oh great
but I have ordered from them before and really never had any problems
-
I went ahead and canceled the backorder, and called pourette to make a
custom one for me. I know it's probably not that big of deal for Genwax,
but its the principal of the thing.

I just wanted to let you guys know what kind of "customer service" Genwax has. I am so infuriated. I ordered a hurricane mold from them Aug 27th. I am yet to see it. I also ordered some wax and a hurricane insert. I paid way to much for shipping and they send me everything but the mold. They said it was on backorder. I call them to find out how long it's going to take. The guy tells me 7-10 days. Five days later he calls me answering an email I sent (that they didnt answer for 5 days) saying its going to be another 7-10 days. Here I am more than 10 days later. I just called them and talked to a lady that said the molds have not even been received at their warehouse. I said "isn't there anything you can do to make me feel better about my wait? Like send me a free FO or something." She says no we cant do that because then we'd have to do that for all our customers. If it wasn't for all their customers they wouldnt even be open. I am so pi$$ED. Just wanted to let you guys know about my experience so that you dont make the same mistake as I did about ordering from them.

I'm a newbie so tell me if I'm wrong. Couldn't you get the 9" and fill it only to 6" or 4.5" if you want a smaller candle.:rolleyes2

Magic
It's all about getting fuel up the wick. It's capillary action, so the size of all the molecules that have to travel up the wick (wax, additives, FO, dye) comes into play, as well as how much these molecules "stick" together for lack of a more scientific term (cohesion and all that good stuff)...
I think I speak for everybody when I say "Huh?"

I too recently had a bad experience with them. They had a hurricane mold that I really wanted. I ordered wax, hurricane mold, and the insert. The fools sent me the insert and the wax. When I looked at the shipping slip it had "BO" on it.
They didn't even email me or call me too let me know so that I could just cancel the order. I emailed and called them the same day. They guy who answered said it would get here in 7-10 days. 7 days later another guy calls saying he got my email and it would be another 7-10 days. He was saying something about a new shipping manager. I'm done with them.

How are Kangaroo Blue's FOs> They are close to me.
-
Dont change a thing about her. She's gorgeous

Is it a special mold that only Genwax carries? There are definitely suppliers closer to you than Genwax, and probably cheaper too. I'd look at canceling my order altogether, and ordering from somehwere else, but that's just me.
Well I really like that mold. IT was a hurricane mold. The fools sent me the insert on time. So I'd have to send the insert back too.
-
I made an order about a a week and a half ago at Genwax. One of my molds were on backorder. Well the guy from Genwax called yesterday and said it might take another 7- 10 days. Do you guys think if I ask they would send me a free FO sample for my wait? How many of you guys do this?
Oh and what scents do they have that are good so I know what to ask for?

Scents you love that the public hated!

I just realized by reading these how rude people are. How could you turn up your face at a candle when the maker is sitting right there? Most scents that I like a lot people hate. I love Red Currant and Patchouli. I like them because they remind me of something even though I cant remember what? Ever have that? And I despise bakery scents, but everybody else just loves them.
