More convenient if you own something like this.
Could you pick one of those up from Wally World? LOL
-
Those are beautiful. OH and Tommy smells so-o-o-o good
-
beautiful Donita. You know what would be awesome. Make a light house candle with a blue water candle around it, They are amazing
-
Out of the colors you have, I'd say aqua. Maybe make it a real light aqua.
-
I think that it looks absolutely stunning. And with that colour you could put anything around it - very elegant. Did you do white chunks and a clear overpour?
They are actually pink chunks with clear overpour. I tried to make the pic better so we'll see.
-
I'm a pro at invisible candles. Let me know if you guys need directions.
See if it worked this time

Here is a chunk hurricane I made. Whatcha guys think? I'm making ten of them for my sister-in-laws sweet 15th b-day. They'll be centerpieces. Do you guys have ideas about what else I can do to them? Like flowers around them or whatever.
-
You know what would be awesome? Make more of those and get one of
those cupcake holders at bed bath and beyond. It could be a center-piece or something. YOur candle it adorable. Makes me want to make some. Have
to get some bakery scented FO that I like first.

i use purple with a tiny bit of blue.

I don't have any kids with asthma, but I had it when I was a kid (still
have it, it's just not a problem anymore) and perfume used to get to me.
So, I'm thinking FO would. It probably depends on how bad the asthma is.
I would just be careful. Or make candles while they are at school.

Oh wow that is awesome. Such a great idea. I wish we could all see it
lit.
-
It's beautiful
-
Do you guys color them?
-
Those are awesome. I want Pearberry.
-
Those are adorable

They are awesome. Hurricanes are perfect for a wedding. Tell them to use votives though so they will stay lit for a long time.
-
I love it. If I even eat one of those things I become addicted.
-
Amazing. Are you sure you a newbie?
-
I dont really know about the electric tart burners. But you can find the tealight ones at the dollar Tree. I think you should still do the candle show. 3 is not that many people. What part of NC are you from? I grew up in Swansboro (an hour north of Wilmington)

try pourette.com. i know they have unicorns.
-
when I first started making candles, I bought two books. Now they are on my book shelf collecting dust. Save you money and just read this site as often as possible. I got the most knowledge from just reading this site. Save your money for more supplies.
-
Oh also about finding a mold. I don't know exactly what you guys have in Italy, but here our butter and some of our ice cream comes in big plastic tubs. They are round. They work really well for your first hurricanes. They make a beautiful finish too. I hope I atleast inspired you to come up with some ideas.

When i made my hurricanes. I left the insert in there (it touched the bottom) then when my embeds were covered enough to hold them I removed the insert.
After a while the wax will form a bottom. The good thing about it is you really don't want a thick bottom cause it'll be obvious when you put you tealight in.
I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain.

cute. What FO did you use?

i really like the purple one and the black and white one. I use that heart shape glass too. Though I use it to make a container candle, not as a mold, but it's pretty cool.
