I personally love black candles; they are very sexy (not assuming anything of course). My husband loves when I make candles. He always smelling them, and sitting in the kitchen when I make them, so I don't think it's silly.

I really love Summer Spritzer to.

Right after you pour tap the sides of the mold lightly with something. May just be little bubbles.

You can also get a hold a mold at pourette.com.

Beautiful colors. The fragrances sound really good. Your friend is going to love
them.

Very pretty. The bow matches perfectly.

Here are some candles I made for my SIL's babyshower. They are scented baby fresh. For some reason the smell reminds me of dirty diapers (I think because they smell like wipies). But....my SIL liked the scent. Unfortunately for me they
have a strong cold throw and hot throw. What do you guys think?

Very pretty. You could always just change the name of the scent.
-
I really like the orange one. They are so pretty.
-
the un-ironed tea towel and cookie crumbs just add a certain "something" to the overall effect I think.
LMAO!!!! i just love the green one. Looks like a booger with a wick. I know my candles aren't that great, but I don't sell mine.

Adorable. The little candles are so shiny!

I want to make votives for my SIL baby shower. She is having a girl so I'll probably do pink and yellow. Who has some really good baby scents? Also, (not a scent question) should I do flower pot votives or palm wax votives? Or maybe even something else. Not baby food jars though.

i just bought that glass too. Very pretty.

I use the 44z. At first it might seem like its not big enough, but when you get to the smaller bottom it will catch up. The 51 smoked to much for me.

You could do citronella candles in pretty buckets or pots (just make sure to seal) or I've heard Lemongrass works as good as citronella and not as stinky. You could also do a layer, but like put say blue on the bottom then like a white later with red and blue star chunks (you can get really small star cookie cutters athe craft center of wal-mart in the candy making junk. Michaels too.) then a layer of red. Or....You could also make some pillars that are red and put like a string of beads around them that are red, white, and blue. Walmart started selling little bags of beads for like under a dollar. ( I spend to much time at wal-mart)

I dunno maybe go for orangish pink Or you could do layers of green and orange.
-
WEll you already got your answer, but I just wanted to comment on how pretty those pots are. Might have to head out to the dollar tree.
-
I think you should go for pillars if you want to. If you decide to unscent them that would be great; even cheaper. They are a little more aggravating, but worth it. I too am just a hobbiest.
-
Where did you get that hobby silicone? It would be cool to for making embeds.

I can't really help you with the palm wax, but I personally think the candle is gorgeous. It looks like it was done like that intentionally.

Looks pretty to me.. I wish I could see it lit though. That should be a new rule if you post a hurricane you have to show it lit too
-
Yeah, you just use a zinc wick and curl it. I think it would look nice in some jars. Depending on the style. I wouldn't do it with jars that have lids.
-
I never smelled any of these before, but have you tried to go to scentforum.com?

Thanks guys. Pinapple cilantro sounds good. So does verbena Berry. I already have Sunset on my list

I don't know what you had in mind, but you can use frosting containers for little pillars.
