  1. All beautiful - though the surprise would be if it weren't! :D I especially love the Sandalwood-Oakmoss. The colors, shape, composition, stamp - the whole look is utter serenity, which I bet is perfect for the scent. Is it a blend of eo or someone's fo?

Your labels look great, and cheers very much for the jar link!

  2. I LOVE this look!!! Totally beautiful!! Are the little streaks the powdered anise, or drips of liquid colorant, or . . .?

I'm not a huge fan of black licorice as a taste treat, but the eo is wonderful to use. It's one of those fragrances you can add just a dot to a blend to give a fabulous new depth to the whole character. (Kind of like lemon juice in cooking.)

  3. I can't smell it. The soap actually has no smell at all and I added no FO or EO. When I first added the honey, monoi and carrots all you could smell was the carrots and a bit of the monoi and honey. Since the carrot smell was so strong, I thought it might stick around but it did not and by the next day, when I unmolded, you couldn't smell it all. Maybe when it gets wet the scent will come back a bit.

I've wondered if that might be the case - it's pricey enough that I've only used it in things like bars & butters to take advantage of that lovely fragrance. I'll be interested to learn if it does resurface for you.:)

  4. I actually like it and I love the color of it!! Kind of looks like a sponge with the scrubby on one side :smiley2: , but I do like it!

    ANgi

:cheesy2: That's exactly what I thought! I really do like it.

How does the black clay feel - is it slick like a kaolin or more scrubby like, um, one of the others? :o

  5. Beautiful - to look at and sooo inviting to be used. (nose pressed up to the window in longing . . .)

I love the one on the left - it looks like a painting of a sun or morning harvest moon over snow fields. I want to blow it up and use it for wallpaper on my pc! That's one of the many things I think that makes "natural" soap so special - when the textures & colors let me see beautiful images.

  6. Jaybird… I was born in S. California; it’s where those memories were made. You know the scent I’m talking about… does it sound right to you? I promise everyone I will repeat this for a swap. Maybe a Christmas swap, as citrus and roses were big for my mom at Christmas. Maybe not what most people think of for Christmas, but if I add red swirls think I could get away with it?

I'd say you nailed it. Of course, I'd need to try some to be ABsolutely certain ( hinthint :D )

To my mind, Xmas doesn't necessarily need to be santa red and pine green - it's gorgeous as is.

  7. Oh, G'Ma, that's simply magical. Makes me think of how the (rapidly disappearing) citrus orchards around here smell on the breezes of a spring evening. I so wish I could smell, touch, try a piece. I love your gift!

  8. :undecided Laugh? Cry? Smack 'em one? Men aren't just from Mars, most of them still seem to be living there. Makes you want to carry a recorder on you at all times so you can just play back conversations at them, doesn't it? Very cool about expanding - you've got all kinds of talent & now the support (however clueless the source, lol)! :highfive: Go for it!
