  1. I use 70/30 blend and it is awesome. If you are talking about the A&F from Jody's.
  2. The one from Jody's smells ALOT like Fierce. I know because that's what my son wears and as soon as he smelled the candle he wanted one for his room. Had to break the news to him.... going to try Ezra. The A&F from jody's cost me about 2.25 an ounce. Doesn't leave much leeway for a profit there. I will let y'all know how Ezra measures up. Chantel
  3. I know.......it is strong in their stores. They must spray it on all the clothes...lol.
  4. http://www.rusticescentuals.com/fragranceoils/fragranceoilsd.html#ezra They named it Ezra. Don't know if it's an actual name for one of their colognes or not. Cheaper though. Anybody know of any good fall scents from this company so I can combine and order. Maybe shipping will calm down that way.......lol. HTH, Chantel
  5. That's where I got mine from. I have my candles in a Video Store of all places. She has tanning beds which pull in a lot of teens and mama's. I thought it would be the best place in town for my candles because she has the most traffic. They are sitting right by the register in a 4 step display so they can't help but look when they are checking out. I used a pic similar to theirs on the bag that they use to sack your clothes for my label that I got off of flickr.com. Maybe the picture catches their eye, then they smell it??? I did find another company that has a cheaper version but scared it will not smell as wonderful as jody's does. HTH, Chantel
  6. Abercrombie and Fitch from soaps and things. As soon as I pour it, a few days later.......gone! Problem is it is soooo expensive. Wish more company's would carry it. Shipping ate me up. Just a fyi, Chantel
  7. MOST agents will not call their underwriting department and tell them that you called and asked about the candle business in your home. They would rather get the commission when your renewal rolls around than have the UW department nonrenew your insurance because you "might" be making candles in your home to sell. However, if part of the agents pay is based on Loss Ratio, he could start asking questions. It really depends on the individual agent. He may be hungry for the renewal commission or he may be one of the anal ones that reallllllllly watches his insureds. I would say that if you are making a candle for yourself, it would be fine. People make crafts everyday. However, if they find out that you are selling them and it's an exclusion, there wont be any coverage. I don't think I've been much help because companies are different as well as agents beliefs but if I was in your shoes.... I would call around to OTHER companies and get quotes and let them know up front about the candle business in your home. That way you know up front if it would be covered with them and not wonder after you've wrote the policy. Call an independant agency. They have several different companies to quote with. HTH! Chantel
  8. I've been working in the insurance field for 7 years now and just wanted to put my 2 cents in. The only way an insurance company can deny coverage for anything at all is if they have specifically excluded that peril in your policy. Dig out your policy and read the exclusions. IF the home business is an exclusion, well..... ya better check on some new insurance real quick like because if your house burns down you will not get one cent. If it is NOT an exclusion they will have to pay but don't be surprised if you get a notice in the mail telling you they will not renew your insurance next term. Then you get to carry that "claim" around with you while insurance shopping for the next 3 - 5 years depending on the company. However, a lot of companies have an endorsement that you can pay extra for to add the home based business coverage on there. It all depends on the certain company and what their guidelines are. All companies are different. Read your policy! HTH, Chantel

  11. Hi y'all! Well, I bought a bunch of the cardboard air fresheners from www.oakcourtcreations.com and now I'm having trouble coloring them. I have used the Crayola Water Colors Paint and food coloring and they look so uglyyyyyyyy. The coloring is uneven, darker in some spots than others and I can't seem to make them pretty and evenly colored. Does anyone know of a way to make them pretty?? TIA! Chantel

  16. I sure will! I know there is one out there because my son's daycare owner bought a candle from Bass Pro Shops. That is her favorite scent so she burns it all the time. 21. from the state on purchasing bears to dip. My sister-in-law works at the Oklahoma State School and the handicapped makes many different crafts to sell at craft shows. However, all of their supplies are bought via a purchase order because it's State. Does anyone know of any plush suppliers that might do this? TIA! Chantel

  23. hmmmm......that sounds like a great idea! One (probably dumb question) :embarasse though. If you wipe off the backs of the clear labels, isn't that what makes it stick to the other one?
