  2. Hi! Jennifer - I just shot you an email - Portia - Thank you for your response - can you tell me how much wax it takes to make a 4" electric candle? Thank you!!!
  3. Hi! Thank you so much for your responses! Erin - I'm glad you let me know about the KY Glow because I definitely would like to scent the wax - Jennifer - I just went to C & S and found a wax suggested for electric candles - IGI 1313 - have you tried this wax before? I was looking at grubby and smooth silicone molds - I don't know if you offer both - I'm curious as to what your customers prefer? Do you offer both 3" and 4" sizes? Would you mind telling me where you purchase your cords and bulbs? and also your warning labels - do you make your own? and the refresher oil - is that just the pure fo that you scented with? I'm sorry I have so many questions - I'm excited about trying them and appreciate your kindness - thank you so much for your time!!!
  4. Hi! I was thinking of trying to add electric flameless candles to my line and need your advice, please.... What wax do you use? I read an old thread that suggested KY Glow Wax - is this just for the grubby type candles? can it also be used for a smooth electric flameless mold? and do fos work well with this type of candle? do you need to add any additives to make the fos work better? Thanks so very much for your time.....
  5. Thanks everyone so much for your replies - very much appreciated!!!
  6. Hi! I'd appreciate any suggestions on a good supplier for Frankinsence & Myrr FO, only problem is I'm not sure what it actually is supposed to smell like - a friend really loves it - and I wanted to surprise her with a gift with this FO - thanks so much for your advice!
  7. Gotta enjoy something while I do this dreaded job.... I'm also sharing some testing I've done recently,.... BTW - I use pre-blended paraffin votive and am mainly into tarts right now.. I tested juniper from AH/RE yesterday - throw was awesome, hung around forever....and I was really surprised that I liked it... This morn is Lilac from JS - super strong, great throwing - also have JS Candied Blueberries & Captivatingly Currant & Strawberry Butter Cookie - wonderful strong scents that throw well for me... Blueberry Muffin - AH/RE - knew I already liked this one bunches - has an awesome throw and wonderful scent IMO - don't notice much of the muffin, but the blueberry scent is heavenly - also have it curing in a mason jar... Rose Bouquet from Peaks is throwing awesome, smells wonderful and is really giving me a big room scent - which is what I love... All my testers love the Sweet Pea from ICS - waiting to test sweet pea from Peaks...tested Freesia from BCN and just couldn't get a nice throw with that Tested Amazing Apple Pie from JS and just couldn't get a throw with my wax...I have the same problem with the Vanilla Butter Creme Crunch, although I'll burn here at the house cause I think it is such a yummy scent.. Tested Mango Spice from C & S and couldn't get a throw with that either, think I'm going to try Peaks Mango Papaya, I've seen such great reviews... For some reason I just can't get a great throw from AH/RE Monkey Farts... Cucumber Melon wouldn't throw from ICS - but I love so many of her oils - especially Bakery - waiting for quite a few of them to cure for two weeks, seems to work best for my wax..I just love her Bear Claws, Pecan Twist, Our Secret Recipe, all seem to work great for me and are big throwers... Am very anxious to test Honeysuckle from Peaks - we're planning on some centerpieces from our woods for tomorrow's Mother's Day table (wild phlox, honeysuckle) and I sure hope I can up the honeysuckle with my tarts - Waiting to try Pink Sugar from Peaks - made me drool while pouring - a complete surprise to me that I enjoyed it so much - also plan on testing Peaks Clean Cotton, Fruit Slices & Amish Harvest...NG's Citrus & Sage, Tulip, French Market, Lily/Valley, Green Clover & Aloe, Coconut Cream Pie & Gardenia...will get back with those reviews.... I'm in search of having about six different florals and fruits to offer for spring/summer - would really like to get some really fresh fruit scents - planning on another order from Peaks soon....just love their fos... Hope this wasn't too long - I'm always asking the board for their help, thought I'd throw a little back in....Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!!
  8. or when I see that does it mean the fragrance discussion forum?
  9. Thanks, Carol - I appreciate your help:highfive: very much!!!
  10. Hi! This FOHO is ready to order some more fos - and I'd love to hear what fos you've planned for your spring/summer lines - I'd also like to find some strong throwing pure fruit fos? and some dead-on florals or florals that your customers really like? This 'little drip of wax' will really appreciate your time and advice!!!
  11. I just rec'd my 1st order of tart warmers today - from Jackel - and I had never asked the wattage - if I'm reading it right on the bottom of them it is around 14W - I'm used to tart warmers being, for the most part, 25W or 40W Bulbs - can anyone reassure me that the Jackel warmers were the way to go? I appreciate your time and advice very much!!!
  12. Good Evening!!! - I feel so needy for this board...I just love it...and reading all your opinions on fos... has anyone tried ICS Cherry Pie? I love so many of her bakerys and when I poured it - the pie crust came through so lovely - I've been curing for two weeks and burned, and I hardly got any scent throw:cry2: - I'm wondering if I need to cure longer or maybe this fo just doesn't like my wax....and I burned JS Fresh Pear today - and it was very strong, threw great - but seemed to have more of a perfumey fragrance to it than an actual fruity pear...any opinions or advice on the above would be greatly appreciated by this little drip of wax.... thanks so much!!! and any advice where to get the 'fruity' pear? Hope you have a lovely evening!!!
  13. Ohhhhhh....good idea about the Honeysuckle Rose...their oil rejuvenated me...I've enjoyed pouring them very much, can't wait to burn...and try some more from them...
  14. Eve - It just 'registered' that you described the FOH Creme Brule as 'burnt' vanilla - exactly what I've been looking for...do you have any suggestions for suppliers for Oatmeal Raisin and/or Snickerdoodle?...kind of the same sort of scent I'm looking for in them that I can't seem to find...thank you!
  15. ooooppppsss...I meant to thank you for the suggestion of Mango Papaya - I put it on my gotta try list!!!
  16. Hi! They did sneak that orange chiffon cake in - and I just had to pour it - I'm a bakery person myself - but loved what I poured so far - Rose Bouquet was screamin' at me, very strong - and I fell in love with the Pink Sugar, which I was not expecting - and I poured Jamaican Me Crazy also - can't wait to test...I'm still a 'little drip of wax' to all of this, so I'm really hoping I hit some winners here, very pleased so far, this board really helped me in my selections - also, I haven't hit on a Creme Brule that pleases me, so I'm hoping Peaks will not let me down....havin' some serious fun w/ these new oils...
  17. I decided on all my fos by the board's recommendations - I'm very excited to pour.... Honeysuckle Amish Harvest (anyone decide to name this differently to carry all year round?) Sweet Pea Green Clover & Aloe Pink Sugar Clean Cotton Creme Brule Jamaica Me Crazy Rose Bouquet Fruit Slices Orange Chiffon Cake I hope the Rose Bouquet will complete my floral line for now - I was so excited I just had to share - Blessings to you and yours, casey2
  18. Ah soy - I'm just curious, is that a blend of your own?
  19. Hi - I always store/cure/sell them in polypropolene - I thought it was great in my house, but I took it to work, where I test some of my tarts and it just didn't throw as much - thanks so very much for all your help - I'll just try and cure a while longer...cause I do love the scent!!!
  20. I recently made tarts with NG's Hot Orange Danish - I use a pre-blended votive/tart wax and it smelled heavenly when I was pouring - waited a week and tested at home - it had a lovely throw - not a big room throw though - brought it into work to test and it didn't last at all - so I was wondering if anyone had the same experience - whether it needs to cure a bit longer??? - I'd love to hear from you...thanks so much!!!
  21. Eve - Have you ever tested hot orange danish from NG? Love your reviews - thanks so much!!!
  22. I poured yesterday - and it really turned my nose a twisted way that I'm still not sure I'm OK - any opinions on this? Thanks for your time.
  23. Can't thank you enough for all the time you took to help me!!!:highfive:
  24. I can't seem to get it right on Nana's Kitchen - I have ICS's - maybe I didn't let it cure long enuf, I'm just not getting a great throw - any suggestions? Thank you!!!
