  1. If you have not already done so, scroll down a little bit and there is a topic "Melt and Pour Soap Additive List" to read on what to add to Melt and Pour base that will give you lots of ideas.

  2. In your first set of pictures the area up by the ceiling kind of looks like part of Awesome in Shephardsville. I do go to Hazard, KY a couple of times a year. Next time I go to Hazard I will have to go the way by London and stop to shop. Thanks.

  3. Has anyone purchased the tart molds from Candle Chem? Looking to find out if they are of good quality. You can get 50 for $12.95 and they hold 1 oz. I guess the reason I'm asking about their molds is they averatge .25 each where others I have found (same one) are around .50 cents each. How is their customer service? Any suggestions of other suppliers that have nice tart molds? Thank you.

  4. I am going to help my 5 year old niece make some M&P soap for her parents for Christmas. I have enough samples of several types of M&P base. I have been doing some reading on CT board and have a few questions.

    1. Something I'm not sure about. Does castor oil make the bar harder? If so, how much should be added to a pound of soap base.

    2. I also read where you put goats milk powder in the base after you have mixed it with water. Is this tap water or distilled water?

    3. What is the total amount of all extras combined that should be added per pound of base?

Whatever I add to the base has to be found local since I don't have time to order. I know, last minute but my niece just asked if we could make this for her parents.

    Thank you.

  5. I was set-up at a small craft show and there was this couple down from me and all they sold were wax melts and burners and stayed pretty busy. Just curious if anyone on this board sells only melts and burners. If so, do you find that you sell enough to make a profit that it is worth your time? I pour in the square mason jars and at that craft show I mentioned I needed to sell one more jar to even make my booth rent. I live in a large city and at most shows there are at least 10 candle booths. I think next year I will try selling only melts and see how that goes.
