  1. Full Moons Couldron (in the UK) for candle supplies??

I've been comparing wax prices from suppliers in the UK and these have come up the cheapest. I can get 20kg of beaded unblended paraffin for £33.44!! Thats £41.29 delivered! I thought that was a bargain, more than a tenner cheaper than I usually pay. I just wondered if anyone had used their wax and could vouch for the quality?

Can anyone also recommend and good line in wicks, i've got the LX's but wanted to try a different series that's good for parrafin pillars and containers. Ones that are available in the uk preferably. Full Moons Couldron do a multi purpose wick i might try out - not sure though.

  2. Wick, I know!! But I cheated :neener: I made 4 and one is still sitting on my fireplace  LOL.

Here's my latest, and omg the cold throw on it is amazing!! Coffee caramel creme. Yu u uuuum. I love this sent. Not too sure on the colours though, the 'sand' colour turned out much lighter than it looks in chip form.

  3. LOL I thought it was about time i started testing them instead of just looking at them :D

I got the LX wicks from www.candelights.co.uk along with my wax.

When I said 'bulging out the side' i meant that the wick was too big a started to melt the candle out the side - at the top. It started collapsing out the side and left a bulge.

ETA: Yes my phone takes great pics! Although I am still crap at taking them *LOL* Sony Ericsson K800i, its got the 3.2 megapixel Cybershot camera on it.

  4. Thank you!!

I think they had been burning there for just under an hour, they were the 3 I made for testing, the small one had an LX20, the medium an LX22 and the big an LX24, after 2 hours they were all looking good but on the 2nd burn the LX22 and 24 started bulging out the side of the candles, the LX20 is still being burnt though and going good.

  6. Plastic moulds are a pain in the butt LOL. I have a few I bought from Holland, and they are fab, but the clear plastic ones you get in craft shops grrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Have you tried gently pushing the insides of the mould away from the wax? I had to do that with my plastic star mould, it came out eventually - but I had a wick to pull on.

Also, be very careful with these in the oven, if they aren't polycarbonate they melt - i found out the hard way *rofl* I no longer have a star mould :o

  7. Wick, Gingerbread, butterscotch vanilla and choccy chip cookies yum.

My hubby's taken the boys out to race the rc car, Taz is stuck infront of the tv and baby is asleep :yay: i feel a coffee hazelnut creme pillar coming on hehe. I really need to get another metal pour/melting pot!!

p.s. If the moulds you got are the plastic ones on the coloured square bases - be careful of using strong colour and fo's in them!! They stain like its no ones business and you just can't get it off! Some fo's leave the inside of the mould feeling rough too.
