  1. We'll see what AB comes up with.

Haven't managed to pour anything yet :cry2: I put my back out yesterday and can't bend over or stand for too long. Been in bed most of today on painkillers because thats the only place I feel comfortable. Doctors on Monday I suppose  And its my first wedding anniversary tomorrow :yay:

  2. I won't have anything in my pot either. Our house has been up for sale so I haven't been able to make anything since about May which is killing me but it's messy and I have to have my house spic and span at every moment so I had to stop and pack it all away...my garage is half full of candle supplies. We're moving into our new house next month, where I'll have my own room dedicated to candle making so I can jump back in...I can't wait:yay:

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I am in the same boat and am moving next month too - but I still grab the chance to pour when i can :wink2:

This weekend I am going to try and follow the instructions that Scented PM'd me on how to make one of her wonderful 'grassy' looking candles :P , wish me luck I think i'll need it :rolleyes2

  3. but then I thought about the bit where its says' date=' gulf war veteran and paying to put themselves thru college.

    Oh I don't know lol[/quote']

OMG! I didn't see that either!! :laugh2: :laugh2: I'm such an airhead :grin2: BUT, I didn't mean in a nasty way, I just thought that....well, if I was making candles upside down i'd want someone to tell me LOL.

  4. I was just browsing through ebay looking for some palm wax :grin2: and came across these from the states - they are upside down aren't they??

Do many people make candles this way and is there a reason or is it just personal preference? I think they look better the other way round, with the bottom of the mould as the top of the candle.

  5. Love the last one, reminds me of a hot hot african safari scene, i just lurve it! How do you get the line effect on the bottom layer, that looks like grass? Its fab. And how do you get the effect on the black/grey and red one, with the grey lines flashing into the red? Please please tell me because I would love to give that a go.

They seriously ALL look stunning, you are very talented :grin2:

  6. Wise words Nat. I tend to be drawn to these big auctions too, then stop and think to myself 'will I actually use them?!' I am trying really really hard to stop myself buying unessential things, and saving the money for the more important stuff, like wax LOL. We are moving in August and having a mortgage to pay after so many years of having a 'paid for' house is kinda scary. So I am HAVING to supress my urges :grin2: Its hard REALLY hard, i'm having to go cold turkey *ROFL* I will break that addiction - I THINK :P

  7. Looks beautiful! I sat here for a few moments trying to figure out what the design was that was stamped on it....

  Upon final inspection- it's just a reflection of you taking a pic. :grin2: Silly me.

It's very nice and clean looking. Great job!

I was looking at that too LOL.

I love it! I really really love it. It looks gorgeous and I am sure your relative will be very happy :grin2:
