  1. They are soooooooooo cute!! You guys did a great job. I think #2 looks the most like real bubbles.
  2. anyone know if there's a limit to the tennessee sample sale??
  3. I know this is probably a dumb question but is it necessary to use one of the 2?? Do all of you use one or the other or do some of you omit it all together??? Just wondering.
  4. Looks pretty impressive. I wouldn't worry about competition- as long as you've got a good quality candle then it will sell. Maybe you could offer some extra items beside candles. Reed diffusers, candle warmers, air freshners . I saw a post claiming that plain cutouts can be bought and "painted" with f/o to make an air freshner. The person posting has some pretty big accounts seling these. Maybe you can market them as car air freshners or for wherever someone can't burn a candle like closets? I checked out some websites offering them and they have quite a few different designs. Sorry if I'm not much help but just trying to give you some suggestions.:highfive:
  5. I received my BC f/o's yesterday and some soy wax from FLSOYSOLUTIONS. I'm going to try them out. I've only made about 10 container candles so far so this should be fun....... especially since the 10 I made was 1/2 craft store kit and 1/2 creme parrafin wax (also from the craft store- I couldn't wait for my "Stuff" to come in the mail). The scents I'm trying out from BC is: Aqua di Gio Sunflowers Strawberry margarita Ocean Dunes Black cherry Cherry almond I'll let everyone know how the throws are. If they comeout good for me, they'l come out good for anyone!!!!
  6. I'm no where near ready to try out candle carving, but I have to say that the video was interesting. Thanks for the ideas!

  8. Thanks for the help!! I was figuring that a heavier glass would be ok (of course I'd have to test a couple of times). I was worried about the glass cracking, but we'll see. I have a cousin who has a martini themed apartment so I figured candles of this type would be perfet.
  9. :highfive: THANK YOU!! I ordered a sample from that FL comapnay to try out. I appreciate the help since I've noticed so-so reactions to "neewbies" asking for hard earned research questions!! Appreciate hun. Happy New Year BTW.
  10. Anyone from Florida?? Have you found any good suppliers here/ If so where and what's the best wax, frangrance, wicks etc that you've found? Thanks for the help!!
  11. Not a vaery good job??? That is one of the most beautiful candles I've ever seen!!!! You are a candle carving idol for all of us!!
  12. I'm new to the candle making deal and would like to make some in martini glasses. Should I use a specific glass as to fit safety standards or would any martini glass be useable?? I appreciate any help given on this issue.
