The quality of the beads do make a big difference, (BCN's is the "BEST") but there is also two things to take into consideration. One is NOT to have the hole too close to the edge and the other is to make sure the ornament itself is not to thin. I've seen several ornamants that were so thin, they were bound to melt when the sun beat on them. The thickness of it does make a difference plus in my opinion, look much better. I make mine a good half to three quarter inch thick and there has never been a problem with any of my car fresheners. I would much rather use extra beads than have my customers complaining and returning unwanted products cuz it sure is bad for business.
HTH
Those are two very good points. Don't sell unless you've tested your product and can honestly answer one question. Would I buy this?
I hope everyone starting out do these two things and also make sure that you don't over or under bake your beads. I've had beads fall off cause they were under baked and I've had ornies with ugly backs cause they were baked too long.
In fact a friend of mine once commented that my ornies were lethal cause they were so ugly. That was many years ago.

Using a licensed and inspected facility does not guarantee that one won't find foreign material in a product. Who hasn't found a hair in their food at a restaurant or something foreign in a bath and body product?
true true true agree...

Do you have any beeswax? I've found that to be a great hardening agent for my MP soap. I usually shred it and add 2 or 3 TBS per pound of base. Olive oil is another good oil to use for a harder bar of soap, you can add that in at approx 2 TBS pp of base as well, it tends to make a slimy feeling bar if you add too much. Good luck!
Beeswax works great, I learned that from PA , I use the pellets and melt them down.

I Never tried them, that's a bummer. I wouldn't sell anymore right now, save the rest for winter when it's not hot.

IMO One ounce is a lot for 1 lb. I start with a tablespoon and work up if I think it needs more. I tried 1 oz and the soap was seeping. The fo is that last thing I add to my base by then it's cooled down quite a bit.

try let it sit out for a few days

No preservative is needed, but I do put some vitamin e in, just for an extra touch and it looks good on the label.

I'm a die hard SFIC user, however someone sent me some clear low sweat from WSP (which carries Crafter's Choice, and I'm really pleased. I put some erasers (halloween) and it came out great, no bubbles and it didn't cloud.
