  1. SFIC is my favorite base except for the clear. Sandisoap sent me some crystal clear from WSP and that is the clearest I've ever dealt with. I use them with embeds and no fo or additives and oooohhh so clear.

All other bases I prefer SFIC but I'm sold on the crystal clear fro WSP.

  2. CP takes more work than HP or MP in that you're dealing with lye and your measurements have to be precise. With MP you can be more creative.

I love MP soap and it isn't cheating. You're doing exactly what you're suppose to do, plus more. Melt & pour plus add your own creativity. (oils, embeds and whatever you choose)

  3. I think I've priced that Dr. Bronners and it was a tad expensive, but if it helps lather, I may be willing to try it.

I was curious about the dishsoap too. Anyone use unscented liquid soap you can get at the grocery store?

Thanks again for all the help everyone!

HMMMM I bet dawn will ungrease your body :laugh2: :laugh2:

Seriously, I wouldn't try dish soap.

I love glycerin in my soaps, love the lather. :)

  4. PA is the Queen of M&P. I got hooked making soap because of her. :smiley2:

You're gonna get hooked too. What I love about M&P is that it's very forgiving and you can be as creative as you want. Just don't over do your fo.

  5. I use cello bags and then put them in a plastic container. I have a few that is over 6 months and they have never sweated or faded Survived the hot summer. They still smells great.

  6. I like the clamshells when I do embeds for kids (ex: gold fish, erasers etc), they are easy to work with and displays very nice.

I like different designs on molds.

So I like both, depending on what I'm working on.

I don't leave my M&P soap out. I don't want prints on them (esp. clear ) or people handling and not buying. Most of mine are in cello bags they can open and sniff if they want.
