  1. Where is your CLV dupe from? Mine is from WSP and I think it's dead on. In fact, all the dupes I've tried from WSP have been dead on. I know they have a Cherry Blossom that they compare to the B&BW scent, so if you don't hear otherwise I'd say WSP would be a good one to take a chance on.

  2. I don't notice a significant jump in wet spots after my candles burn. Wonder if your wick is a little large and is causing the jar to get really hot. However, don't worry about bumpiness after burning--it's just how it is. If you must avoid this, I suggest you stop using soy. I think they look fantastic--the color is great and sooo smooth! Remember that soy users are used to a unique appearance! :grin2: Great job!!!

  4. Good thought...I'll have to switch to the FCO on my next supply purchase. So far I've been buying in small 16 oz. sizes and giving 4 oz. sprays as Christmas gifts so going rancid likely isn't a problem, but I'm definitely going to switch over to the FCO.

With the stubborn FOs that don't want to blend do you go up substantially in the FCO ratio?

  5. Ok...I think that if the wax, FO percentage, and any additives were exactly the same and the tart was 4 oz. and the wickless was 4 oz. then you'd probably get a similar scent throw. Of course, a lot would depend on the opening of the container. I doubt something like a square mason jar would be a good one for the wickless. I think it would still throw, but I doubt it would work very well because of the narrow mouth. But say you were using the Ball Platinum jar with 8 oz. of wax and you had a massive tart burner that could hold 8 oz. of wax and had a wide mouth, then I bet the scent throw would be very similar. Of course, I haven't tested this but I don't see why it would be any different.

  6. I'd say the significant difference between a tart and a wickless candle is the amount of wax used. My wickless, for example, are 8 oz. and most tart warmers hold considerably less than this. 8 oz. of liquid, scented wax will have a greater scent throw than 2 oz. The second significant difference has already been stated---that with a wickless candle you can just remove the jar and replace with another scent as opposed to removing the wax from your tart warmer.

  7. I do both wickless and wicked...However, I never understood the wickless craze until I made them. I only burn wicked candles in my house now for testing purposes. For scenting up my house, I choose wickless. They last a lot longer than 48 hours. I've had a Red Velvet Cake wickless on the burner for at least a month and it is still going strong--not a month straight!!! While I would never stop making wicked candles, I'm a dedicated wickless user.

  8. I use a 1:6 or 1:7 ratio in cyclo. 1:3 sounds really high, but I haven't ever tried it at that concentration. 1:7 works really well and generally I do 1 part FO, 1 part Grapeseed oil or Fractionated Coconut Oil and 6 parts Cyclo. I don't use a FO that won't blend. It's disgusting looking and I just don't think people will shake it up before they use it---after all, we don't have to shake up other body sprays we buy at stores.

I get mine from Bittercreek as well.

  9. This is confusing to me...Either it's piss-poor communication skills on her part or all lies.

On another thread she she talked about needing to order candle making supplies and never having smelled certain FOs that she wanted to try...if she is selling/dropshipping them, why would she need to order the FO? The obvious reason is that these FOs are not in her possession, nor has she ever even smelled them.

Doesn't sound like good business practices to offer a product you say is great for X, Y, Z applications and yet you've never even had the bottle of FO in your hand, much less tested your claim!

Southern-Have you ever been in the same room with the products you are "offering"..?
