  4. I like 4627 wax. I am doing testing to figure out which wicks work best in a 8oz.jj.

  7. Something new to me. I havent heard of that. I would suggest buying a kit and do your own testing. This sight is very helpful. If you have questions, just ask. Someone will be gracious and give some advice.

  9. :highfive: I am new to candlemaking somewhat. I would think if your flame is too high you would need to go down a wick size.If it is too little go up one!!

  13. Thanks so much much for your advice. It is realy a job testing, testing and testing. But that is all part of it. Do you use up a wick with strong and spiceyFO or wick down?
  14. I am happy with this wax but always wanting to make the candles better. I have used soy wax before but found I like this one better. Do you use different wicks in yours. I use 8oz.jj Testing different wicks.Just did not know to use one type of wick with different sizes or use different wicks and sizes with different fo. The additives, just wondering if anything would help!!!
  15. I use igi4627 wax. I think it is a good one. It is a pre-blend so still debating on using more additives in it. Zinc seem to work well. But does smoke a little.
  16. Ihave been using this wax. I was wondering if anyone has tried using additives like vybar or stearic in this formulation. I get pretty good test results with about 1 1\2 oz of FO.Would like a little better. I was wondering if the additives might help with the hot throw.I would greatly appreciate someones advice.
  17. I use 8oz. jelly jars. They seem to work well with this wax. A round jar is easier to wick sometimes.

  19. I havent heard of this type of wax before. I am working igi 427 (comfort blend) wax. It realy is like crisco or like petrolium jelly. Just very creamy like.
  20. I have been doing candles for about a year. I am testing igi 427 wax(comfort blend) in 8oz jelly jars. If anyone might have any wick suggestions that would be great. I wonder if useing additives would be too much in this wax also. I have been testing soooo much, I could use some advice!
