Anyone know if Candlescience has had their spring sample size FO sale this year yet? I've emailed them but wondering if anyone knew. I always find it a great opportunity to stock up!

I make mine a pale olive green. I believe the blossoms are white so that would work too. I just like the light olive green color.
I'd agree with Candybee's recommendation on the pale green!

tunisan crochet were the exact right words to search with...thanks again, you have no idea how long I searched before posting here!!
As for the long hooks, mine is at least 30 years old. I know they have them in yarn shops, but maybe Michael's would have them as well.
I think I bought my long hook (hook on both ends) at Wal-Mart.

I've mixed Cargill's V-1/C-3 wax for making votives at a ratio of 12 oz. of the harder V-1 wax to 4 oz. of the softer C-3 container wax.
-
Good point. I hadn't checked the impact of sales tax!

I'm in San Francisco as well and used to order from genwax. I tried Accusoy 24 for votives with wax I purchased at Swans in Washington on a trip last year. I just ordered large box from their new El Monte (southern Cal) location, as per pound price is less than genwax's V1 Cargill wax with shipping added. Heard their container wax may be nice as well.

Votive wicking for me: LX-16 in V-1/C-3 wax

I've tried the Accusoy 24 for votives and it was great! Thinking of switching from V1 now that Swans ship from Southern California.

May not be what you expected but I think they are very beautiful!

Works great in Cargills' V-1 for me! Good hot throw!
-
Beautiful color and textures!

I wrap mine in paper and close with a label identifying the scent.

Absolutely beautiful!

Very nice. My favs are the brown earthtone colors.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations! I'm off to buy molds and wax!

Candlescience's Red Hots has worked wonderfully for me in V-1/ C-3 votices!

I agree! Carmelized pralines is one of my favorites (guess who has a sweet tooth)! Their strudel and spice is also very nice!

Very nice rustic! Not a big fan of clove fragrance myself, took some I'd made to work as giveaways and was suprised how many people like it.

My SO loves the short paraffin tapers from IKEA and asked me to try them with soy wax. I'm planning on ordering some P-1 wax from genwax.com but am having trouble finding 6" tall taper molds. Any suggestions where to look for shorter taper molds?

Very nice, what a great idea!

I like it without the border!

Peak's Amish Harvest is fantastic!

Boxes from a restaurant supply/ bakery supply store, perhaps? Although, they are so realistic hopefully no one will mistakenly take a bite of out of one:grin2:
