  1. I purchase some candy corn fo from BC. I was just wondering how many of you make and actually sell a cany corn scented candle of any shape or size.

I am wanting to make some for a craft show coming up and just didn't know if I should or not. Any ideas and suggestions?

  2. Okay I am running out of fragrance ideas...ideas not choices...I just don't know what would sound or smell good. Call it a brain freeze, so I thought that I would turn to the most knowledge people in the industry. :D

My question is: What are your favorite bakery scents that you make or buy??

-and if you would can you list from what supplier, I will understand if you don't! :D

    Thanks a bunch!:highfive:

  3. I need to find some label co's. Im looking for a country primitive style, I love who Im with, except for the fact that there is a 2 to 3 wk wait before order is shipped and I simply cannot wait that long:sad2: I put in an order thur night and not even a conf email was sent to me, I love the new lady that took over the co. but I just cannot wait like this:cry2: help please

    Roxi,

I love the country primitive look too and use www.kraftwarehouse.com for all my labels. They have excellent customer service and their turn around is 2-3 business days. Plus if they dont have what your are looking for... email them and ask and 9 times out of 10 they will get it for you. Let me know if you have any questions, that maybe I can help you with.

    Hope that this helps :D

  4. I have a deal on my website that you can get 15% off your first order, and all you need to do is sign up for our newsletter. The newsletter is a double opt in too, once you get an email from us, click on the link, you are given a coupon code to use on your order.

Here is my situation: I had a customer who placed an order and specified to pay via credit card. Her information didn't show up so I emailed her and was called the following day with the information. As I was hanging up with her, she says, I also tried to get 15% off and clicked the link and it didn't work. I told her I would look into it. What happened is that she didn't do the double opt in part. I see that she signed up but she didn't verify her subscription. So I emailed her again on the 27th about what I had found out and that I would give her the discount when she verified her account, but in a professional way.

Still have not heard back from her, I have the card information and order information. My question is: Do I wait any longer and make the order later and later? or Do I go ahead and do it like there isn't a discount and if she signs up later, then let her take the 15% off on her next order?

Any suggestions would be so helpful as I have a 2-3 day turn around and its already been that!! UGH!!

  5. You need to actually burn in the container you plan to use. The container could cause a down draft, dancing wick, etc. and you wouldn't know that by just burning a bunch of wicks in a pan!! It may give you a starting point for a wick size, but wouldn't be a true test for your jars. :cool2:

I totally agree! After all you may save some time doing it the other way but to get 100% accurate information I would use your jars, you know you can wash them out and reuse them. ;)

    Happy burning! :D

  6. I think it all depends upon the person. I have some men customers that are die hard food people, then I have some that only love the clean or fresh fruity smells.

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I was told once by a very wise business person to make things that you love and things that you hate, because then you will have something for everyone!

I don't care for fruity or floral, I am a bakery person!! :D

  7. Click on your name and "view your profile" towards the bottom there will be an area that says view all post by or view all threads by. Click on the threads on and you will find all your threads that you started, view the posts one if you replied to another persons thread.

Does that make sense? If not I will try to clarify :D

  8. Yes I have asked this already and was told t try 14 drops of black,(for 1pound soy wax)But my candle is still dark grey. Then I was told to use Barnloft color but you cant recive dyes from them till middle of Oct. Any other suggestions?? Please I need this asap... How about another company?

    Thanks;)

I get my dyes from www.lonestarcandlesupplies.com and www.tayloredconcepts.com

I don't think that 14 drops per pound is enough, on mine what I do to get the right color is: I start counting the drops and stop periodically, I then take a spoon and get some of the wax and drop it on a white paper plate. Then blow on it until it is dry to see if that is the color you want, if not add more and stir it in. Repeat that until you reach your desired black, then write that number down and never forget it. :D Hopefully this helps.

  9. I had been purchasing my blank labels by the sheet (do not need a whole box of anything) from a printer on line. They are apparently no longer in business:cry2: does anyone have a supplier that they can buy labels by the sheet???

Thanks for any info. that you can give.

I use www.kraftwarehouse.com , they have great customer service and excellant prices. Not to mention if your looking for a certain style or color, and they don't have it, they will attempt to get it for you. :D

Hopefully you can find what you need through there.

  10. it is not at the mall - i got into the a show at a convention center. it is a big show. so off to pouring and trying to figure out where to get display stuff

Oh good! Have fun pouring and figuring out how to display your stuff! Good luck to you! ;)

  11. Sounds awfully steep for a space fee, however how big of a mall is it? This is a tough one. I personally would probably say no and maybe do it next year that way you have an idea as to what the traffic is like.

    Good luck on deciding. :)

  12. I would also make a brochure type ordering form, so that they can mail you and request your products. Have pictures of products that you sell so that they remember what they saw at your booth. Maybe also give them an incentive like a percent off their order, half shipping or free shipping. This will make people want to come and order from you more often.

Like Stacey J said the three part would be great. You could use one for your copy, one for one the spot copy and the third one to put in with the order when you ship your item.
