  1. The description says "hand made wood lids", so looks like someone is making them.

Ugh but who? That is the question lol

I have another link of another gals site that has them as well, so surely you can buy them somewhere?

What would I search under I have tried everything.

Thanks for any and all help gals!! I thought if I had a problem I knew I could count on you all!

  2. Okay I saw a picture of this jar that I want soooo bad. It is a square glass jar and has a wooden lid on top with a little handle.

I have been looking all over and can't find it anywhere.

I have a picture however I don't want to post it here as it is not mine and I don't want to get into trouble.

PM me if you can help and I may be able to forward the picture well maybe not.

    PLEASE!!! :D

  3. I have a storefront, a website and still do about 11 craft shows!! Yep thats right I eat, sleep and breathe candles.... like must of us! :D

I would be more than happy to show some pictures of my storefront when I remember my camera.

I would also love to see anyone else's store as well. :yay:

  4. Can anyone tell me what are the required MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) or a list of the OSHA requirements sheets for a candle shop? And, where is the best place to find them? Also, is it required that you have a policy and procedure for each type of candle that you make, how to measure out scents, etc? These may sound like stupid questions. Any help will be appreciated.:o

As for your procedure, I only needed to give that information to my insurance provider in order to get liability insurance. LOL we are obviously considered HIGH risk...who would have thought LOL

But if you do have that on paper guard it with your life so no one finds out what you do!! That way no one will find out your secrets! :D

  5. All that I have had to have was a MSDS sheet for your waxes, and chemicals that you use to clean or extra. And if you can find the MSDS sheets on any of your oils that is good to have on hand as well.

Think of your worse case senerio: someone comes into your shop and accidentally gets cinnamon oil in their eyes or accidentally catches your wax on fire. How will you clean them up or put out the fire?

that is what a MSDS sheet tells you.

Let me know if this helps. I know I found some of my sheets at the wax manufacturing site.

  6. I usually use two tables and set them up in an L shape. This way I have a ton of space in the back for inventory. I set up a shelving system to make my product easier to get to and pretty to look at.

Here is a not so good picture of hubby and I in my booth. Boy was he making me upset...he didn't want to take this pic and I was yelling at him through my teeth...Can you tell? LOL
