Ok , I made CP soap today. It never got past thin trace. I poured it into the molds, because I didn't know what else to do. I still have a small amt in the bottom of the pot, which has thickened over the past 20 min.
I think maybe it is the heavy whipping cream. I used 3/4 of the heavy cream, and 1/4 water. Is there anything I can do with it if it doesn't harden in the molds? Oh geeze. I hope I don't have to throw it out !!
Anybody got any suggestions ??
Thanks ~ Lisa

HI, I am thinking of buying Candlewics CBL130 for my containers. Can anyone give me their opinion on this wax. I am going with them because they are only 2hrs away from us. If not CBL 130... is there another that you might recommend from them? Thanks so much for looking

Ok I give up, I know that I have seen somewhere in the forums about "scents to wick up on". I have been searching now for 30 min and still can't find it. I have started using zinc wicks 44 's and 51's. I wantto add thoses FO's that you need to wick upon in my notes.
Thanks Lisa

Well I have been so excited about these cuties...I made a couple today. What fun! Now I need to find more things to grubby!!
Here is a picture of one of mine...I still need to go buy silicone bulbs tho.
Thank you again for sharing your idea!

Be sure not to cover the sensor when you grub them up, I'd think.
These are just the .99 deals no sensors on these, just the plain old basic plug ins from days of old.

That is gorgeous. Do you mind me asking what your technique is for grubbying those candles? I've got some of the yucky things that someone gave me and I never used them because I hate that cheap plastic look.
Sure, I make a paste using modge podge, instant coffee, ground cloves, coffee grounds, all spice, tiny bit of water. Not too much water you want it to be thick so it doesn't run. I just dab it on with a course brush. Thats about it. It's messy. HTH

I'm hunting for you. Those really are so pretty. If you picked up a lot of them, you could make them for just about any occasion too. I'd leave even the Christmas looking one out all year. It's really pretty!

Littysmom,
Did you secure all your additions to the base of the candle? How about the dried oranges? Those candles are way too cute!! I'd definitely buy them if I saw them for sale!! What a great idea for those ugly dollor store candles - good going girl! :yay:
Thanks, now if I can find somemore can't find them anywhere !

Does $9.00 seem like a good price to charge ?

Nope... it's soft. The silicone incases the bulb. I dropped one before and it did't break. The tip is just like alttle "pigtail" of plain soft silicone. Thanks for looking

I am going to see what kind of interest I get from my co-workers. Then I might think about it. Glad you like them thanks

I thought I would share this with you. I used one of those plastic candles you can get in the dollar store for your windows. I grubbied the outside of it, and the dcorated it with odds and ends that I had in my craft room, topped it off with a silicone bulb. What do u think? I was thinking of taking it to work and putting it at my nurses station. Thanks for looking
