  1. I have had my Square account for a few months now, and really like the company. The funds are deposited in 1 to 3 business days. I have swiped at shows and taken Internet and phone orders. Square is pretty easy to use and my customers have had no complaints. I use a Apple I-4 though. Never have any issues at all! Highly recommend!

  2. Another kudos to our Birdie! What a job she did. What a true southern lady of grace. I won a $50.00 gift certificate from Alabaster, and my wife won a FO from Tony's and a case of bottles from Bayousome.:highfive:

A great time was had by all. Great food too.:yay:

Here is a picture of Birdie and myself at the gathering.

Thanks again Birdie, see you soon. Your soap is fantastic!!!

  3. Soap will not readily stick to Plexiglass which another name for it is Lexan. I used to use Lexan, but it was too expensive for liners and dividers. I now use HDPE for my TOG Permaliner System and dividers. It is less expensive and releases well. HDPE is impervious to chemicals, and slick. I really like using HDPE along with premium wood for soap molds!

  4. We are getting molds made and cutters finished for the Tennessee Soap Gathering next weekend. I am also bagging up 100 pounds of lye to take, since I am going to start selling it online. Too much to get done in 6 days! I forgot, I have to finish my Paul's RTCP Tutorial for my demo there!:undecided

I'm not sure about the one in TN but I will be at the one in Alabama. Paul will you be a vendor at the TN conference, will you have some molds for sale there? If so, I might see what I can do!!:wink2:

Yes, I will be set up as a vendor. Birdie asked me to do a demo too, so that will be interesting.:undecided I'm donating a TOG 8 Wire Log Cutter as one of the door prises. new8wirecutter004.jpg

I'll be giving out discounts too.

I have a great source of lye and am thinking about bringing 200 pounds with us and selling it in two pound lots. Have not figured a price yet, but about 1/2 of what Roebic's used to cost at Lowe's.

Lots of molds to get made before then, as it is only a month away!*super banana*

  6. I don't know about anyone else, but the Emu on the website scared the crap out of me when it opened. That's one pissed off looking bird.

Must have taken that picture just before it met it's demise. Next day, that bird was Emu Oil.

  7. Grumpy girl, if you want 1-1/8" thick bars, use 45 ounces of oils. If you want 1-1/4" bars, use 50 ounces. For you, you mentioned 1-1/2" bars, so use 60 ounces of oils. Deb was right on!:highfive: Hope this helps. The more you use this mold, the HDPE gets seasoned, which makes it easier for the soaps to slip out. I turn my mold over, shake a few times or drop it a few inches above the table, and the dividers and soap falls right out. I just take a paper towel to the sides, and wash the bottom liner in warm water, if necessary. For the first time, you mar wipe the HDPE down with mineral oil, or spray with a coking spray. :wink2:

  8. I'm glad some of you liked my molds. I am going to silicone liners. I have been using the HDPE liners. All liners in the future will be 1 peace. I will be getting my own site soon as I am tired of Etsy and their wording too. Like Rich at Soaphutch who I understand is currently 3 months behind, as he is a one man operation too. He has his own web site, and now I see the necessity t have mine too. I will always stress quality woodworking!

    I answer all e-mails.

  9. Thanks. I made it one time as cphp and it didn't turn all that brown, in fact some people were asking me what I did to keep it from turning so dark. I made cp today so I didn't know what to expect with it this time.

Paul, please keep us informed, I would love to see a pic if you have one of it.

I'll take one tomorrow and post it.
