  1. Thanks for your replies! Erin
  2. Is this what you're looking for? http://www.naturesgift.com/oilbottles.htm#Plastic_Bail_Jar
  3. I was given a couple of soaps and one of them was labeled Woodland Trails. It was a wonderful masculine woodsy scent which my DH loves. Does anyone know which supplier carries this? Thanks Erin
  4. Looking for a good vanilla scent that would make a nice room spray. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Erin
  5. Thanks for posting the information Soapbuddy!
  6. The electrical tape would be fine to secure uneven surfaces. The key is not picking it up after pouring without it already sitting on a hard flat surface.
  7. I do MP right now in PVC pipe and have had great success using press n seal at the end of the pipe secured by a couple of rubber bands. Because it's sticky and stretchy it seems to cling to the pipe very well and makes for a nice clean end piece. Once the soap is poured into the tube, it does not get picked up and moved somewhere....it stays put until it has solidified. If you were needing to move it, I would put it on a cookie sheet (or something that you can transport it on) prior to pouring.
  8. Thanks Soapermom. I need to start being a little more daring!
  9. And you don't have to preserve the soap when using a real cucumber? How can that be? I guess I could understand it a little better with the CP method but not MP. Through my journey with this stuff, I've read so much conflicting info that it becomes difficult to know what is right and wrong at times. Guess that's why I'm here, to learn from the people in the trenches. Thanks for setting me straight soapermom!
  10. Thanks Soapermom for your quick reply. When making a cucumber soap, are you just adding an extract or hydrosol?
  11. Do you ever need to add a preservative to MP soap due to certain additives? If so, which additives and what would be the preservative of choice? Also, when a MP soap says it's made with real cucumbers, can that really be? Full of questions today. Thanks for your help. Erin
  12. I use a 3" PVC pipe for all of my soap. I spray Pam inside the tube and wipe excess out with paper towel. I use Glad Press'n Seal at one end, held on with several rubber bands...it has never leaked and makes the end piece of soap usable (you can't get that with a PVC end cap). HTH Erin
