  1. question...... is the SFIC also melt & pour?? The ingredients looks so much more natural and fun compared to reg M&P.

    TIA

Yes, it's great MP soap. A lot of mp-ers use this soap exclusively. Comes in a lot of varieties too.

  2. I guess the title says it all. Has anyone used their melt and pour base? I had my eye on WSPs, but I would have to order in small increments because their shipping charges are so high! It's cheaper to order twice by using the flat rate shipping.

But, since soaper's choice comes in those huge blocks, I don't want to get stuck with pounds of yukky soap base.

Any comments on the base are welcomed!

ps I also add shea and other butters to my soap (up to the point where it doesn't impede the lather) can that improve a bad soap base?

    Thanks!

  3. I am very happy with the flavor oils from www.the-sage.com. Typically, I use about 2-3%. They are unsweetened, but I add a touch of their Sugar Kisses flavor oil.

I find their flavor oils to be of great quality. I do not add the sugar kisses to mine, but I might try that next time I order. I have used honey, strawberry swirl, mango mango and chocolate cream.

  4. Hi ladies:

    Long story short:

a friend of mine is hosting a party with my products. She is providing the place, the vittles and the folks. I will also be inviting some of the people who were at the last open house.

My question: I just want to offer her 10% total take off the top to keep it simple.

How does that sound? Should I also offer free products if the total take is over a certain amount?

  5. I emailed them some time ago and received a pdf file that basically lists all their products with the number and price.

Seems linke the pdf file with their products and the wholesale website have different prices and different minimums. The webbie has only a 50.00 minumum and a 10 mold min, mix and match. The pdf has a 100.00 min. and it looks like you must by six of each mold.

Hmmmm, seems easier and faster to order from the website. Less confusion for me.

  6. Has anyone ordered wholesale from life of the party? I have the order form but I'm a little confused.

I called the company but had more questions after I hung up the phone.

Say I wanted to buy a soap kettle. The order form lists them as 2 in a pack, which means I'd have to buy two, and the price is listed at 15.00.

Does that mean 15.00 wholesale for 2 or are they 15.00 each, thereby if I bought the 2 pack it would cost me 30.00 wholesale.

My brain is tired. Thanks for any help.

  7. Speaking of being on the back of a van.....vista print is now offering those magnetic signs that you put on your car for free (you have to pay shipping of course, but a good deal nonetheless).

Way OT - I visited Phoenix and Flagstaff in August of 1994. It was 110 degrees during the day and I absolutely loved it. It was strange to me to see decorative stone in front yards instead of grass (I'm from the Garden State, NJ) but what gorgeous weather. I'd rather be in AZ with 110 degree and no humidity than some of the sticky summers we have here in NJ. (but I would miss the Jersey shore lol)

  8. I used to use SFIC bases, but have recently switched to WSP. I use the shea butter base, but I add so much of my own stuff, it might not matter which kind of base I use, if you know what I mean.

But using it right out of the package, it seems to me to be almost the same caliber as SFIC.

I've also heard excellent things about essentials by catalina bases, but I just can stomach shipping from CA (I'm in NJ)

  9. I would think the bath water would need to be really hot in order for the creamer to dissolve properly. I've tried adding creamer to lukewarm coffee (because I was in such a hurry to drink it and didn't want to wait for the microwave to fully warm it) and the non-dairy creamer lumped up on me.

Also, some of the flavored dairy creamers contain sugar - not so good for some in the bath, even in small amounts.

But why not try it?? I usually try almost anything - I learn LOT from my mistakes.

Take it from the woman who tried to shrink wrap a lotion bar, ok? LOL:cool2:

  10. Sounds like you have a lot of scent suggestions, so I will do some product suggestions!

Scrubs, butters, bath teas, bath melts, soaks, etc. Usually people take more baths in the winter, so those would probably sell well!

    Good luck!

    Steph

I agree with the above. People like to "nest" in the winter and cozy up.
