I dont have a fireplace myself, but I took one over to my dads house who does have a fireplace, and he tried it out. Worked good. I was over there today and couldnt see where it had been. I even burned one just by itself to see how it did. HTH:smiley2:

On these I used wood shavings and a few pine cones. Some use potpourri. I also dont use wicks in mine. They just light the paper lining.

Thanks! They are scents mixed up. Just leftover wax. I was wondering if I put to much wax in them. Or does it matter?!

Does it matter if you use container wax (j223) or the hard wax (astor v) for firestarters?

I have just recieved a 1 oz sample of this. I put 1 oz in j223 wax. I didnt like it at first, the more I smelled of it the better I like it. It smells refreshing to me, not clean, but refreshed! Have not burned yet.

I got my lids at BCN. My flower pots at wally world. I didnt realize they were a slight difference in them. I only bought 120 lids!

I just got my order of lids for the flower pot votives. The problem is on some of my holders, the lid doesnt fit snug or tight. Some they do. What am I going to do? I got these for an upcoming show. Cant leave them on, someone picks them up, and they are going to be dropped! Any suggestions?!

Does anyone use this wax for votives? Is it a good wax for votives? I am using astor v for votives right now, was just wondering if the 4045 wax is good for votives to.
