  1. Hi,

I am searching for a REALLY strong peppermint. The kind that will make you cry while burning it. :laugh2:

I have tried KY's Icy Peppermint, but the hot throw was not what I want.

I know a lot of suppliers have Peppermint, but do any have one so strong it will hurt ya? This is to be used in wax, not for skin care products.

    Any suggestions would be fantastic!

    TIA

  2. I need to place an order at ICS and wanted to know if anyone had any new recs??

I did a search... and got a few. I am ordering:

Cinnamon Buns, Birthday Cake, Cactus and Sea Salt, and Pink Sugar.

Was thinking of getting caramel nut cluster...

Any other good ones I should look at!? I want to take advantage of the shipping cost! :smiley2:

    TIA

  3. In between. You can cut it with a knife. I use Astorlite V for tarts, or you can use 4794 if you don't mind a repour.

    Thank you.

I just ordered some 4794... I will mix it with my current wax to try to prevent the repour... but hopefully it will help cut down my costs a bit. :smiley2:

    Thanks for the help!

  4. Is there such a thing as white matte or frosted labels? I've been trying to find some but I'm not sure if it's under a different name. I've seen clear frosted but I need the white background and have that frosted look to them.

    Any suggestions??

    Thanks!

I use online labels and they have a "matte clear" that looks frosted.

  5. I need to re-evaluate my wax situation.

I love the wax I use but I have no idea what kind that it is and shipping to me is outrageous!

Can you use the J50 for tarts??

The wax I currently use is soft with a melt point of 128 degrees (same as J50) and it works great. I am just not familiar with J50 and it's consistency.

Any advice and information would be very helpful!

    TIA

  6. Have you tried cutting down your FO load to perhaps 6%? This may help with some of the soot...i have wicked this wax in a 3" diameter salsa jar with zincs and lx's at 6% and have kept the soot to a minimum. HTH :smiley2:

Isbennis, were you able to single wick with these??

I too have a tough time with wicking this wax.

I tried LX's and we don't get along! It was the worst.

    HTP's sometimes smell "burnt".

    CD's smoke like a wildfire.

So far Zincs are good but mushroom pretty bad.

I am currently testing ECO's and have been pleased with these. They do not mushroom and they burn pretty good. They will soot though if the wick is not kept good and trimmed.

  7. Be careful with the blog.

I have one as well and it got marked as spam... of coarse I had a direct link to it so anyone who visited my page and clicked on "sales and news" got the warning page about the blog possibly being spam. :angry2:

I went through the hoops to get it unlocked... and it was within a couple days. Do not link back to your site if possible. I think that is what made their computer system think mine was spam related.

    Your site is very nice!!

  8. Since you put the oils in such a small bottle, just how does it work? Are they used in the t-lite warmers that use water? I used them a long time ago but hated the water running out. Are these different. and do you use the same ratio as you use when making tarts? 1oz -1.5oz per lb of oil as apposed to wax?

I have been testing mine with an electric burner and a t-lite. I do not add water to either. I have been testing a ratio of 25-50% oo and the rest is FO... for a total of 1oz. Most of them work good with 25% oo... there is a couple "give you a headache" scents that I up'd the oo on.

So far so good. I like them a lot... and for the scents I love but can't get a huge throw from in wax, the oils are perfect. :smiley2:
