  1. I totally agree with SoapSilly's (now Daystar) Sweet Pumpkin. Another really great one that sounds like the type you are looking for is the one from The Candle Source. It is called Pumpkin & Vanilla. The slight vanilla in it really calms any spice & makes it much more pumpkiney & not very spicey, like most others. It really runs a very close 2nd to SS's.

  2. Has anyone tried the Moisturizing Body Spray base from Fragrances By Design? I was thinking of adding a sample to my cart to try. It says it's a yellowish colored base & takes 3%-10% scent. Not sure about the "yellowish", but I like that it can take a higher FO load. Just wondering if anyone uses this. Thanks

(here are the indgredients: INCI Ingredients: Water, Surfactant, 1,4 - Dimethyl -3,6-Dioxa-1-Heptanol, 1,2,3-Propanetriol, 1,3-Dimethylol-5,5-DiMethyl Hydantoin, Butylated Hydroxy Toluene (BHT))

  3. I like WSP's Strawberry as well as the Strawberry Jam for straight strawberry (but I only do B&B). My alltime favorite strawberry though, is Strawberry White Cake from Just Scent. In lotions & sprays, you just get strong, fresh strawberry, but in wax you might pick up the cake notes. I'm all out of sniffie vials & am waiting to order more in the upcoming week, or I'd gladly send you sniffies. If you want, I could do the "FO on a cotton ball in a baggie" version of a sniffy. Just pm me if you'd like them.

  4. I think to send as sniffies in order to get a "rough" idea of what a scent smells like OOB, it usually is fine. Also, to get a "rough" idea of what 2 or more scents "may" smell together as a blend, it's a way to get a "rough idea". I only do B&B, so for me, it helps when I want to come up with fun blends. I know that a FO in application often smells much different(& sometimes totally different) than OOB, but I'm weird in some ways: if I HATE a FO OOB, 90% of the time, it gets thrown in the box of oils I don't use. I know that's not fair to the FO(:grin2: ), but it's ok, because I have way too many FO's to begin with! But yea, IMO, the whole Q-tip thing is really for a quick whiff to quench your OOB curiosity(& sometimes works to trade sniffies, especially if it's a really expensive oil & someone can only spare a swab).

  5. does any one know how to keep these two items from turning brown,,, I use the soy whip and call it frosting and i call the glaze soft and silky body glaze.

I tested the soy whip for a while(& was going to market it as a soy butter) & although I just love the texture & testers loved it too, I am not going to end up using this product because it turns brown with the majority of the fo's. I can understand if it just turned with a few, but it is with most. I'm bummed, because we all really liked this base alot. I usually make myself a tester & then my "testers" get a tester. Well, 2 people(friends) loved this stuff so much, that they just had me make products for themselves to use, before my testing was complete! Now, months later, they are finally fessing up to me, that they all turned brown!!!! They didn't want to tell me because they didn't want me to feel bad! (I'm glad they aren't testers!). So, that's just my story. Very sad because it is quite a nice product.
